The Monthly Womenโs Circle is back! ๐ธโจ
After a little pause to breathe and gather momentum, Iโm very happy to say that the Womenโs Circle is returning.
Over the past year, weโve explored ๐ซ๐๐ฌ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ๐๐ข๐ง๐ , ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ฒ, ๐๐จ-๐ซ๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐ฌ๐๐ง๐ฌ๐จ๐ซ๐ฒ ๐๐จ๐ง๐ง๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง, ๐๐ซ๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ฒ, ๐๐จ๐ฆ๐ฉ๐ฅ๐๐ญ๐ข๐จ๐ง ๐๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ฅ๐จ๐ง๐ ๐ข๐ง๐ โ always weaving together embodiment, conversation, nature and creative exploration.
Each circle includes an embodiment practice (e.g. somatic movement, nature connection practice, yoga-based exploration), followed by a creative offering such as journaling, a talking circle, or something more experimental. At times, weโll welcome guest facilitators, including teachers and members of the Wild Yoga Africa community.
Together, we explore themes like:
โข Self-care and community-building
โข Nervous system support
โข Creativity and finding/expressing your voice
โข Hormonal shifts, body image and ageing
โข Sensuality, disinhibition and emotional safety
โข Boundaries, belonging and being truly yourself
And, most importantly, we gather to

Somatic movement is mindful, exploratory movement that invites you to sense and move from the inside out - rather than aiming for a particular shape or external form - with attention on ๐ก๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฌ.
In this practice, we listen for the bodyโs cues - noticing tension, ease, breath, or where we want to move next. Movements may include rocking, pulsing, spiralling, shaking, or simply sensing into a joint or muscle group to allow it to unwind.
Accessing greater freedom in the body, especially if your usual movement, sport, or exercise is very structured or intense.
๐ Tending to pain, stress, trauma, or fatigue by reconnecting with the bodyโs innate intelligence.
๐ Shifting out of feeling โtired but wiredโ and creating the conditions for deep rest.
No experience required.
๐๐๐ง๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฉ๐๐ซ is an integrative somatic facilitator (300-hour trauma-informed training), yoga teacher and writer/poet with a special interest in intuitive body wisdom and a passion for dance. Renata prioritises nourishing, whole-body movement and encourages you to be yourself and follow your curiosity. She feels most at home in wild places and offers a unique movement experience inspired by the South African bushveld.

There are few places in Hoedspruit that feel as magical to me as the (little) bookshop, especially as a writer, poet and lifelong reader.
Iโm so looking forward to celebrating Womenโs Day by bringing together movement, stories and community in this beautiful space. Thank you, Alex, for this wonderful collaboration โ the first of many, I believe. ๐ค
If youโd like to join us, youโre welcome to DM or WhatsApp me to book your spot.

Crystal healing is a complementary practice that invites you to slow down, reconnect with yourself, and work intentionally with the natural energy and symbolism of crystals. In this introductory workshop, Wendy will share practical ways to use crystals at home, explore how they can support your personal wellbeing, and guide you through simple techniques you can continue long after the workshop.
With the support of an experienced practitioner who began her own journey through curiosity and personal exploration, you'll gain confidence in choosing, caring for and working with crystals in a way that feels meaningful to you. Whether you're simply curious or already drawn to crystals, this is a beautiful opportunity to begin your own practice.
๐ฃ BOOKINGS CLOSE: Friday 7 August
ABOUT WENDY
For as long as she can remember, Wendy Booyens has been drawn to natural remedies. Seven years ago, that fascination turned towards crystals, starting with her first pieces of amazonite and black tourmaline. As her collection grew, so did the positive impact on her overall well-being. She qualified as a Crystal Healing Practitioner through the CAMS Institute in 2023 and continues to guide and support others through this gentle, complementary therapy.
