Somatic movement is mindful, exploratory movement that invites you to sense and move from the inside out - rather than aiming for a particular shape or external form - with attention on ๐ก๐จ๐ฐ ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฏ๐๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ ๐๐๐๐ฅ๐ฌ ๐๐ง๐ ๐ก๐จ๐ฐ ๐ข๐ญ ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฉ๐ฉ๐จ๐ซ๐ญ๐ฌ ๐ก๐๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ง๐ .
In this practice, we listen for the bodyโs cues - noticing tension, ease, breath, or where we want to move next. Movements may include rocking, pulsing, spiralling, shaking, or simply sensing into a joint or muscle group to allow it to unwind. Weโll finish up with 10 minutes of somatic free dance.

๐๐๐ง๐๐ญ๐ ๐๐๐ซ๐ฉ๐๐ซ is an integrative somatic facilitator (300-hour trauma-informed training), yoga teacher and writer/poet with a special interest in intuitive body wisdom and a passion for dance. Renata prioritises nourishing, whole-body movement and encourages you to be yourself and follow your curiosity. She feels most at home in wild places and offers a unique movement experience inspired by the South African bushveld.

MEET LYNNE
Lynne started working as a counsellor in the trauma field in 2005. In 2014, she qualified as a TRE practitioner, which she has found to be immensely beneficial to clients. Lynne also offers sound journeys and includes a short sound experience at the end of each TRE session.

Hi everyone
Here's the July schedule ๐
A few updates to note for the month ahead:
โ Renata's Slow Flow and Somatic Movement classes have shifted from Tuesday to Monday.
โ Lynne will be starting a 6-week TRE course beginning on Tuesday 14 July. More info to follow.
โ Wednesday 5pm Fluid Flow will be paused for July.
โ Catherine has added an extra Vinyasa Flow class on Thursdays at 10:30am.
โ We're going to experiment with alternating Fit & Fab and Vinyasa Flow on Friday mornings. We'll run this as a trial during July to see where the greatest interest lies.
โ Kim returns with sound at the end of the month, so you can catch her on Friday 31 July (and again on Saturday 1 August for a collaboration with Renata).
And don't forget to check out our weekend workshops and events.
We're also very open to requests for pop-up classes on Saturday mornings, so if there's something you'd love to see on the schedule, please let us know.
