Just because a thought enters your mind doesn’t mean it came from your heart. Some of you are condemning yourselves over thoughts you didn’t invite, don’t agree with, and don’t even want. But the fact that it bothers you may be one of the clearest signs that it’s no longer who you are. Not every thought deserves your agreement, your attention, or your identity.

The enemy wants to convince you that if it crossed your mind, it must define you. That’s a lie. A thought can pass through your head without belonging in your heart. There may have been a time you entertained those things, pursued those things, and called them normal. But now they grieve you because God changed your heart. So stop letting accusation reintroduce you to a person God already called you out of. Take the thought captive, measure it against truth, and if it doesn’t agree with who God says you are, don’t call it you.

I remember the Lord my God, for it is
He who gives me power to get wealth, as confirmation of His covenant.
The Spirit of God will guide me into all Truth.
I have been filled with wisdom, understanding, knowledge and
all kinds of skills by the Spirit. He blesses me in all my work and plans.
The Lord commands a blessing on me in the land that He has given me.
He establishes me holy and walking in His ways.
All the people of the Earth will see that I am called by his name and be afraid of me. The Lord will make me abound in prosperity.
The favour of the Lord is upon me; He blesses the work of my hands.
I will lend to many and not borrow; I will be the head and not the tail.
He will not leave me nor forsake me; He opens the storehouses of heaven over me, and rebukes the devourer on my behalf.
He supplies all my need according to His riches in glory.
He has given me the authority to tread on serpents and scorpions,
and over all the power of the enemy.
I will heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse the lepers,
and cast out demons in the name of the Lord.
The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!
