Had a moment this week that reminded me why I have a rule: never deliver anything difficult over email.

Watched two people go back and forth for three days over something that could've been sorted in a five-minute conversation. By the time they actually spoke, they'd both built a whole story in their heads about what the other one meant.

Isn't that always the way? We type because it feels easier than the conversation. But it usually just delays the conversation, and adds a few days of unnecessary tension on top.

Anyone else guilty of this? What's your rule for when to stop typing and just pick up the phone?
