🌊 Dive Deeper🔎:
The Bluefin gurnard has large, fan-like pectoral fins — often folded when resting on the seabed, blending into the sand. When threatened or curious, it spreads those fins, revealing vibrant colors (often with a blue edge and eye-spot), making it look like it has “wings.”
And they "walk"! - the first three rays under each fin have evolved into “feelers” that act like little legs.
