We are driven by the desire & vision to be part of the change we want to see in our communities

Today, the Role Models leadership came together for a strategic planning session to reflect on our journey, assess the work we’ve been doing, and lay a strong foundation for the months ahead.

It was an important opportunity for us to pause, reflect on our progress and challenges, draw lessons from our work, and sharpen our collective vision and priorities.

At Role Models, our work is rooted in building positive male role models and creating healthier, safer communities. This means going deeper than simply addressing behaviour. It means creating spaces to confront and heal from racial trauma, the father wound, and the realities of fatherlessness, while supporting men and boys to better understand themselves, their relationships and their responsibilities.

Our work also focuses on mental health and emotional wellbeing, gender-based violence prevention, healing justice, positive masculinity and youth development. We want to create spaces where men and boys can speak honestly, heal from their experiences, grow, take accountability and become positive role models in their families and communities.

Today’s session was about laying the foundation for the next phase of this work. In the months ahead, we’ll be rolling out our programmes, strengthening our interventions and deepening our work with communities.

The work continues. The vision is clear. And we’re ready for what lies ahead. ✊🏾
