For a lot of us, we make time for that hour of the day we can to head into the gym and train.
This is a great start to a solid training routine but it shouldn’t stop there.. How are you taking care of yourself around that hour?

There are many factors that go into and benefit our training, it’s our responsibility to implement these tools to work hand in hand with our overall wellbeing.

It’s important that we are just as focussed on making the other 23 hours in a day count.
Some of these factors come down to;

💦 Hydrating regularly before, during and post training.

😴 Prioritising quality sleep for an adequate amount of time as part of your recovery and recharge.

🧘‍♀️ Taking the time to stretch and mobilise regularly and thoroughly around your training sessions. Also taking necessary steps to keep your body and mind healthy and in tune.

🍏To fuel your body with the food and energy it needs and thrives off. You can’t drive a car with an empty tank.

🧚‍♀️ To fill your cup and find a balance that promotes a happy and healthy lifestyle, whatever that means to you. Remember that health has many aspects, our physical health is just one.. I hope you also are taking the time and attention to prioritise making your mind a happy place and being your biggest advocate 🤍

Making Monday moves.
Today I have set some new goals to start working towards, and reflecting on the last 4 months since injury I have learnt;

🦋 You won’t grow and learn if you don’t adapt and accept the situation, it’s okay to feel the emotions that arise throughout the process but not to let them linger and take over. Even the smallest steps add up and creep you closer to where you’re heading, do not underestimate your small steps.

🦋 To look at a set back as an opportunity, writing down movements that were once second nature as things I want to achieve again is strange but so motivating. I’ve done it once, I can do it again and better. After years of training you sometimes forget the effort and hard work that went into achieving what you have in the first place..I have loved having to work to gain these movements back and am still striving for the ones yet to come. I’ve found a new level of appreciation for the smallest and simplest of movements in these last 4 months than in the last 10 years of training.

🦋 To surround yourself with a strong and uplifting support system. This goes a long way, on the toughest of days I still had incredible supporters in my corner, even more excited about my small wins. Truely one of the most significant pieces of the process.

🦋 Consistency is key 🔑

International Women’s Day.

I am blessed to be surrounded by amazing women everyday, in and out of work.
Forever grateful to have grown up with some pretty incredible role models helping me pave my way and inspiring me to now work to help empower other women, watching them grow into strong and powerful versions of themselves.
🏃🏽‍♀️⚡️🏋🏽‍♀️🌷💃🏽🦋🚴‍♀️✨🏄‍♀️

If only I could fit in more photos, so many ladies to celebrate today and everyday🧚‍♀️

A few clients making the most of the silly season and ending 2021 on a high ✨🎁🎄
This week we had all doing a version of 12 days of Christmas wod and this has by far been one of my favourite weeks to date!
The time between them hearing the workout to then completing it was so so rewarding to watch. Seeing how far these amazing ladies have come is incredible but to hear and see each of them see that within themselves is even more special!
Wishing my beautiful clients and everyone a very merry Christmas 🎄🎅🏼✨
