Today Amelia went back to her roots… She raced a Go Kart back on the dirt for the first time in 18 months!
Amelia started the first heat race 2nd!
Then she started the feature on the pole…. With a hard fought battle for 1st and the race went green, white, checkered.
She finished 2nd in the feature in a borrowed cage kart.
Amelia said “It felt so good to get back in the dirt”
Today was a good day at the track but there was also a heavy feeling, of grief and sorrow, This morning our racing family, the Fitzpatrick’s suffered a loss of their mother/grandmother We love and miss you more than words could even express.
Rest in peace our sweet angel Sue Fitzpatrick.
