A while back I fell in love with the fun bags from Consuela - everything including their message of finding joy in the journey, support of artists and local communities, and goal of inspiring positivity and celebration. I had actually ordered a purse online before I was thrilled discover that they have storefront in Smithville. If you’re in town, make sure to drop in and see the beautiful colors and textures in person - you won’t be disappointed!

Porch ceilings installed and exterior siding getting ready for paint. The breeze that comes through the hallway and workout studio feels amazing!

Progress on the outdoor fun area! One side will be a kitchen/bar and the other side will be a gym/yoga space. We finally found someone to build the pool and have started working on initial plans - looking forward to having guests enjoy this space!

We were delighted to find a great art scene in Smithville, discovering everything from Lumberyard Studio and Lost Pines Artisans Alliance to the World's Largest Gingerbread Man. I especially love the public art - check out this self guided tour of some of Smithville’s murals, and while you’re at it you’ll get to see the many sculptures and mosaics around town!

When we’re in town we always try to stop by the Smithville General Store to see what new fun things they have (and M loves their frozen drinks from the coffee bar!)

General stores are having a moment in the Round Top region. And Smithville General Store is a prime example, a real community hub for all.
