We all have a relationship with the word NO.

Sometimes it brings discomfort. Sometimes relief. Sometimes a reaction we don’t quite understand.

And often, that reaction has less to do with what was actually said and more to do with what we have learned to associate with it.

Maybe it’s worth noticing what comes up for you.

Not judging it.
Just noticing.

Because awareness is often where a healthier relationship with boundaries begins.

20 years. Thousands of conversations.
Alongside the science lessons, the assignments and the everyday rhythm of school, there were always other conversations.

About anxious children.
Overwhelmed parents.
Silent teenagers.
Burned-out educators.

Conversations that often had very little to do with the subject I was teaching, but everything to do with the person sitting in front of me.
Over time, I found myself wanting to understand those conversations better.

That curiosity eventually led me to counselling.

And today, those conversations are at the heart of what I do through Ehsaas. 🤍

After twenty years, this August is the first time I won’t be walking into a classroom.

For two decades, August had a familiar rhythm: lesson plans, timetables, new faces, and the excitement of another school year.

This year feels different.

I’m stepping into a new chapter, dedicating myself full-time to counselling, workshops, and creating spaces where people feel heard, understood, and supported.

While my workplace may have changed, my purpose hasn’t.

The classroom may have changed, but the work remains the same: helping people grow, learn and explore together in a safe space.

Here’s to new beginnings. 🌿.

Here’s your reminder that you don’t have to fill every free moment.

Read a few pages.
Sip your coffee slowly.
Watch the world go by.

Our minds need unstructured moments too.

It’s funny how a few words can stay with you for years.

‘All is well. Everything is working out for my highest good. Out of this situation, only good will come. I am safe.’

I first heard these affirmations by Louise Hay at my Heal Your Life - Teacher Training in Khandala, four years ago, and they have stayed with me ever since.

Life has a way of bringing us back to the words we need most. This has been one of those for me, a gentle reminder to pause, breathe, and trust, especially when things feel uncertain.

Today, I’m sharing them with you, in the hope that they bring you the same sense of comfort they have brought me. 🤍
