There comes a point when the search for healing ceases,
gently overtaken by time's tender embrace and her patient guidance into the realm of acceptance—

the gradual realization that a grief stricken heart never really heals from the loss or hurt that caused it to break;
rather,
it beats a broken rhythm of heartache,
so anguished,
so overflowing with sorrow,
that it leaks love's loss into the ecosphere,

permeating the dimensions of time and space
where unbearable pain
gathers for metamorphosis,

after which it is
slowly,
purposefully,
offered back to a shattered heart

as the comforting gifts
of enlightenment,
connectedness,
and compassion.
