These girls are ready for a new season filled with hard work, growth, competition, and plenty of fun along the way.

**1st Year 14U Tryouts**

The Wichita Wild Things - Hampton are hosting a tryout on Tuesday July 9th from 6:00 PM to 7:20 PM at the Hoover facilty

After a very successful season in 12C, finishing with a record of 38-19-3 and placing in 9 out of 11 tournaments, the Wild Things are moving up to 14U. We will be a 1st year 14U team but are willing to consider high level, dedicated second year 12U players. We have dedicated coaches that focus on development of players and improving week over week through the fall and spring/summer seasons as well as the offseason in between. We will play 3 Fall tournaments, 8 Spring/Summer tournaments, and practice year round at Hoover Field.

Wichita Wild Things Tryout Please complete this form if you plan to attend the Wichita Wild Things Tryout. We will host our tryout on Thursday, July 9 at TRYC Field 3. Tryout from 6:30p - 7:30p, pitchers and catchers will follow immediately after.

The Wichita Wild Things wrapped up the Summer Slam with a 3rd Place finish in the Gold Bracket, ending our season the same way we've played all year—with grit, heart, and an unwavering belief in each other.

Game 1 – 5-3 Win over Coffey County Chaos 2.0
The Wild Things jumped out early with RBIs from Harper W, Aizley H, Ellie M, and later Lainey B. Harper led the offense with two hits, while Aizley drove in two runs with a clutch triple. Haylen H battled through five innings in the circle, striking out five to earn the win. Sophie G added aggressive baserunning with two stolen bases, and the defense was outstanding, finishing the game without committing a single error.

Game 2 – 12-5 Win over Blaze The bats came alive early as Lainey B drove in three runs and collected two hits. Aizley H added two more hits and two RBIs, while Cheyenne S, Rhona R, and Sophie G all contributed RBIs to keep the offense rolling. Harper W earned the win in the circle with four strikeouts, and Kinsley J was electric on the bases with three stolen bases as the team swiped six total.

Gold Bracket Semifinal – 7-4 Loss to Sluggers 2013 The Wild Things never quit fighting. Aizley H launched an exciting inside-the-park home run and drove in two runs. Sophie G and Blake G each collected two hits, while Haylen H battled through four innings in the circle. Once again, the Wild Things played clean defense without committing an error.

Throughout the tournament, every girl found a way to contribute. Whether it was a timely hit, a smart play in the field, a stolen base, encouragement from the dugout, or simply being ready when their number was called.

The Wichita Wild Things finished pool play 2-0, earning a spot in the Gold Bracket after outscoring their opponents 17-7! The girls battled from behind in both games and came through with timely hitting, strong pitching, and solid defense.

🔥 Game 1: Wild Things 8, Sunflowers 1

After giving up an early run, the Wild Things answered with three runs in the first and broke the game open with a five-run third inning. Lainey and Blake each drove in 2 runs, while Harper, Ellie, and Aizley each added an RBI. In the circle, Haylen was outstanding, striking out 8 over four innings while allowing just one run.
🔥 Game 2: Wild Things 9, Frenzy 6

Trailing 2-0 early, the Wild Things erupted for six runs in the second inning to take control. Harper had a huge game, going 2-for-2 with 3 RBIs, while Sophie delivered a clutch 2-RBI single during the big inning. Annie also collected two hits. Harper earned the win in the circle, Haylen came on in relief, and the defense played a clean game with no errors and even turned a double play.
