We round out the 2027 Creative team with Tyler! Currently a Sophomore at the University of Kansas majoring in Journalism-Mass Communications and Sports Media. He is the heas videographer for the Daily Kansan.l, and was a videographer for the Kansas City Monarchs (American Association) for the 2026 season.

Tyler will handle videography duties, alongside Assistant Director, Julia. His passion for storytelling and live upload skills will make him a vital part of the Nighthawks 2027 creative team! 🐞⚾️

Back for year 8! Matt continues to assist in growing the Nighthawks roots in the Upper Valley and NECBL, as well as broadening the team’s reach to become a more nationally recognized organization in summer baseball. A fifth-generation Springfield, Vermont native, his focus and mission is creating an organizational culture of belonging and growth for all players, staff, and fans.

In addition to the culture, mentoring the Directors on staff while also giving those students and student athletes the opportunity to experience what makes the Upper Valley special is a driver. Giving back to the place he grew up in and the people who call it home is what brings a feeling of renewal each season.

Matt will continue to oversee staffing, local and regional sponsorship retention, and league-specific obligations/partner relationships throughout the off-season and 2027. 🐞⚾️

Everyone say hey to Sydney! A Sophomore at Michigan State majoring in Digital Storytelling where she works with the State News and Athletics department! Sydney is also a member of the MSU chapter of the Association for Women in Sports Media (Michigan State AWSM) and Delta Gamma!

Finding someone with such talent entering their second year of school is few and far between. We couldn’t be more lucky having Syd to help tell our story and showcase the Upper Valley for 2027! 🐞⚾️

We don’t take Sundays off. Keep up with the pace of the Creative team as we welcome Jarod! A Sophomore at Susquehanna majoring in Communications and Sports Media. Jarod is a photographer for the athletic department for 2026/2027.

Storytelling passion and a team-centric approach are what set Jarod apart from many other candidates and we are so excited for him to grow not just with action photography, but everything outside the field that comes with a summer in Vermont and the NECBL! 🐞⚾️

Its time to meet the face behind the art for 2027. Welcome Michael! Currently a Junior at Illinois-Springfield majoring in Visual Arts, Michael will be handling all graphic design and account management duties for the offseason as well as the 2027 NECBL season. He is also interning with the Florida Everblades of the ECHL this winter.

Michael’s passion for design and storytelling will be central to the creative team this season. We cant’t wait to see the vision that comes together for 2027! 🐞⚾️

Back to the booth as we welcome the on-air voice of the 2027 Nighthawks, Bret Inman! Currently a Junior at the Cronkite School | ASU School at Arizona State studying Journalism. Bret will be calling ASU games on Blaze Radio this year, as well as Chandler-Gilbert CC.

Bret spent the 2026 season in the Northwoods League with the Lakeshore Chinooks. His passion for storytelling and sports will help forward the Nighthawks mission of telling the Upper Valley story. He will become the ninth voice of the Nighthawks in team history. 🐞⚾️

We keep it rolling with the Analytics team tonight as we welcome Tristen! Currently a senior at BYU studying Applied and Computational Mathematics, she was a 4-year standout UTIL player for the Cougars Softball program. Her playing experience will be vital to the Analytics department this season!

Tristen also spent 2025 as a Data Analyst for Prep Baseball Report (PBR) and handled analytics and scoring for the OC Riptide Baseball (California Collegiate League) in 2026 which included Trackman, Synergy, and Presto scoring.

She will be responsible for assisting in the management of the Analytics team, as well as rotating between Trackman, Synergy, and Presto duties. She will also assist coaches and players with custom reports created from Nighthawks data. 🐞⚾️

Grace is on the scene in the Upper Valley for 2027! Welcoming our new Director of Analytics. Currently a Junior at NC State majoring in Statistics with a concentration in Sports Analytics, Grace also works with NC State Baseball.

She spent 2025 in the Coastal Plain League with Tri-City, and 2026 in the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League with Bethesda as the Director of Data Analytics. Grace will bring much summer ball experience to the largest analytics team in the NECBL. We can’t wait to see how this group will help our team reach peak performance on the field! 🐞⚾️

We start off the week by introducing the second new member of the 9-strong broadcast team! William is currently a Junior studying Sports Journalism at Michigan State University. He is a member of the Spartan Sports Report production team as well as the Spartans Big Ten Plus productions.

Bringing a wide range of skills and experiences to the Nighthawks booth, he will primarily serve as Tech Director while also assisting in graphics, in addition to mentoring the rest of the production team. We are so glad to have William behind the scenes for our ESPN+ and Unbeaten/Amazon streams this season! 🐞⚾️

Continuing with our returning group! Tanner heads back to The Nest for another summer, this season as an AGM. She was previously a member of the game day operations team. Currently attending Colby-Sawyer and a member of their Women’s Basketball team, Tanner will lead and anchor our local staff members for 2027.

She will be responsible for assisting with sponsor retention and acquisition, merchandising, concessions, and fan engagement to enhance the overall ballpark experience at Maxfield. We are so glad to have her back in an elevated role! 🐞⚾️
