Thanks to a little help from US Nationals-Bremehr last night, our Missouri Gators Mathews boys have a chance to clinch the Chesterfield Select Silver League Title tonight! Our boys have worked hard all year long… Let’s end this season on a positive note!! 💪🐊⚾️

Our Missouri Gators Mathews boys are starting to develop a little rivalry with Coach Blume’s Ringers-Nationals squad going back to our 8U days. Always fun to play these guys. After losing to them 10-8 in pool play of the GMB World Series just 10 days prior, our boys showed up on the mound last night and got the best of them with the score again being 10-8.

We are currently tied for 1st place in Chesterfield’s Select Silver League with 1 game to go. Let’s finish this season strong! 💪 🐊⚾️

Missouri Gators Mathews 9U Defeat Ringers - National 9U On Multiple Hit Performance By Landon T

Landon T collected three hits in three at bats, as Missouri Gators Mathews 9U defeated Ringers - National 9U 10-8 on Monday at Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex. Landon singled in the second inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Missouri Gators Mathews 9U built a 6-run lead in the second inning and then held off Ringers - National 9U's charge. Ringers - National 9U closed the gap by scoring on a double, a walk, a single, and a single.

Missouri Gators Mathews 9U got on the board in the top of the first inning after Abel G singled up the middle, Will J grounded out, and Carter M grounded out, each scoring one run.

Missouri Gators Mathews 9U scored five runs on two hits in the top of the second inning. Landon singled, scoring two runs, Sam W grounded out, scoring two runs, and an error scored one run.

Ringers - National 9U scored five runs on five hits in the bottom of the second inning. Johnny H doubled, scoring two runs, Nolan E drew a walk, scoring one run, and Calvin C singled, scoring two runs.

Calvin singled down the right field line, which helped Ringers - National 9U tie the game at eight in the bottom of the fifth.

In the top of the sixth, Missouri Gators Mathews 9U broke up the tie when Henry B singled, scoring one run. Then a walk by Carter followed to extend the lead to 10-8.

Landon earned the win for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U. The southpaw gave up two hits and one run over one and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking none. Henry stepped on the hill first for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U. The hurler allowed seven hits and seven runs over one and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking three. Jack B led things off on the bump for Ringers - National 9U. The right-handed pitcher gave up two hits and three runs over one inning, striking out none and walking two. Roman T pitched two and one-third innings of scoreless ball for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U in relief. The pitcher surrendered three hits, striking out two and walking none.

Maverick H collected two hits for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U in three at bats. Carter paced Missouri Gators Mathews 9U with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying 10 walks for the game. Landon, Maverick, Sam, Bryson L, and Henry each stole multiple bases for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U. Missouri Gators Mathews 9U ran wild on the base paths, collecting 15 stolen bases for the game. Missouri Gators Mathews 9U turned one double play in the game. Missouri Gators Mathews 9U were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Abel had the most chances in the field with seven.

Ringers - National 9U collected 12 hits in the game. Calvin provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Ringers - National 9U with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 3-for-3 on the day. Evan K collected two hits for Ringers - National 9U in two at bats. Evan stole four bases. Ringers - National 9U ran wild on the base paths, accumulating seven stolen bases for the game. Ringers - National 9U turned one double play in the game.

Our Missouri Gators Mathews squad got the win last night to keep pace in league play. The game was close with BombSquad Elite Speicher until we were able to get some timely hitting late in the game to seal the victory. Now we’ve got a few days off until the boys travel to O’Fallon, IL this weekend for a GMB Memorial Day tournament! Keep it going boys!!!

Missouri Gators Mathews 9U easily dispatched BombSquad Elite 9U on Tuesday at Chesterfield Valley Athletic Complex, 10-4.

BombSquad Elite 9U were the first to get on the board in the first when Landon J singled, scoring one run.

Henry B grounded out, which helped Missouri Gators Mathews 9U tie the game at one in the top of the second.

Missouri Gators Mathews 9U took the lead in the top of the third. Abel G hit into a double play, but one run scored, to give Missouri Gators Mathews 9U the advantage, 2-1.

BombSquad Elite 9U jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the third inning after Jack C tripled down the right field line, and Missouri Gators Mathews 9U committed an error, each scoring one run.

Missouri Gators Mathews 9U made the score 6-3 in the top of the fourth after Maverick H lined out, scoring one run, Henry singled, scoring one run, and Landon T singled, scoring two runs.

Sam W earned the win for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U. The starter surrendered four hits and three runs (two earned) over three innings, striking out seven and walking one. Ryker S opened the game for BombSquad Elite 9U. The starter surrendered two hits and one run over two innings, striking out three and walking three. Will J appeared in relief for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U.

Missouri Gators Mathews 9U piled up 10 hits in the game. Landon and Henry each collected two hits for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U. Landon, Maverick, and Henry each drove in two runs for Missouri Gators Mathews 9U. Missouri Gators Mathews 9U had a strong eye at the plate, tallying 10 walks for the game.
