Save these 7 national parks for colorful trails, crisp mountain air and some of the best views of the season:

Fall foliage meets the rugged Atlantic coast. Drive Park Loop Road and catch the views from Cadillac Mountain, especially from late September to mid-October.
🍂 Shenandoah National Park, Virginia:
Skyline Drive winds 105 miles through the Blue Ridge Mountains, surrounded by fall color and scenic overlooks. Aim for mid-October into early November.
🏔️ Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado:
Golden aspens, mountain views and wildlife make September into early October a standout time to visit. Explore Bear Lake Road and Trail Ridge Road.
🍁 Great Smoky Mountains National Park, Tennessee + North Carolina:
Changing leaves sweep across the mountains at different elevations throughout October and into early November. Add Newfound Gap Road and Kuwohi to your itinerary.
✨ Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming:
Golden aspens and cottonwoods against the Teton Range make mid-September into early October especially beautiful. Don’t miss Oxbow Bend and Snake River Overlook.
🧡 Zion National Park, Utah:
Golden cottonwoods against Zion’s red cliffs make late October and November a beautiful time to explore the canyon.
🍂 Cuyahoga Valley National Park, Ohio:
Waterfalls, forest trails and peak fall color make this an easy addition to your October travel list. Don’t miss Brandywine Falls and Ledges Trail.

🍽️ Three cultures, one table: Carinthian cuisine sits at the intersection of Austrian, Italian, and Slovenian flavors.
🏛️ Klagenfurt's Old Town: One of the most underrated Renaissance cities in Europe.
🌾 450 farms and Alpine huts: Wake up to fresh air, real food, and hospitality that doesn't feel like a transaction.
