🌈⚾ Team DC is proud to announce that Dr. Demetre Daskalakis will throw the ceremonial First Pitch at National Pride Night OUT at the Nationals on Wednesday, June 24!

A nationally recognized leader in public health, HIV/AIDS prevention, infectious disease, and LGBTQ+ health care, Dr. Daskalakis has spent his career fighting for science, equity, and access to care for our communities. From his work leading HIV/AIDS prevention efforts in New York City, to his service at the CDC and the White House, to his current role as Chief Medical Officer at Callen-Lorde Community Health Center, he has been a powerful advocate for LGBTQ+ people, people living with HIV, and everyone who deserves health care rooted in dignity and respect.

As we celebrate 21 years of Night OUT at the Nationals, we are honored to recognize a leader whose work has helped protect, uplift, and empower our community.
