Fauquier County Roller Hockey League Welcome to the FauquierCounty Roller Hockey League! In-line Hockey is fast paced and exciting sport that is great fun to play and watch. IT'S ALL ABOUT THE KIDS!

FCRHL is a non-profit organization providing in-line roller hockey leagues and skating/hockey training programs to the youth of Fauquier and surrounding counties. Since 1999, our league has grown from its roots at the 5th Street rink in Old Town Warrenton to our new FCRHL Rink Complex located on the Warrenton Aquatic and Recreation Facility campus. FCRHL provides:

* Youth leagues for players ages 5 to 18
* Outdoor in-line skating rink facility
* Expert coaching and skills training
* Skating programs and many fun filled events
* Hockey tournaments and other competitive programs. FCRHL is a sanctioned league with USA Hockey Inline. This is the inline division of USA Hockey which is the largest national sanctioning body for the sport of hockey. This association provides many benefits to our players and the rink. Many players compete in USA Hockey Inline and AAU sanctioned tournaments across the nation. At FCRHL we judge our success by the fun we see the kids having on the rink. From our beginnings in 1999 our focus is on the kids and making sure they enjoy the game of in-line hockey. How do we focus on the kids? We do the following:

· 5 leagues to allow a wide range of age groups to play competitive hockey
· Welcome all experience types from beginner to advanced
· Everyone plays – we have no try-outs and no limits on league sizes
· Have hockey programs in both the fall and spring seasons
· Provide skills and skating training programs to develop skills
· Have coaches who know the game and enjoy working with kids
· Provide a rink that is safe & provides players with a great playing environment
· A low injury rate unmatched by other sports including soccer and football
· Referees & players in the league who are well trained in the rules of the game
· A competitive price that includes uniforms and hockey magazine subscription
· A great viewing area for parents and fans to cheer on the players
· Tournaments and Championship games
· A supportive sponsor community that continues to help us grow

OUR FUTURE
FCRHL is expanding and growing. Over the next 3 years we have plans to put a roof over our rink thereby allowing more rink time and night time skating. We plan to expand our training and player development programs as well as our leagues including having a Travel program for more advanced skaters. So sign up and we will “See you at the rink!”

The Capitals Inline Hockey League (CIHL) is right around the corner, and we will be holding tryouts for our Elementary, Middle, and High School teams. This is a great opportunity for players who love hockey, are motivated, and want to start the journey into higher level roller hockey.

We have a Dragons tryout registration up on Sportability and need eveyone attending the tryout to signup there. (There is no charge to try out.)

Because our league is 100% volunteer run, we rely on our amazing community to keep things running smoothly. We'd love for you to lend a hand! Please check out the sign-up genius link below to claim a spot to help in the snack shack, with the scoreboard, with the stats sheet, setting up/tearing down canopies, bringing water jugs for the players, and picking up around the rink at the end of the day.

Each team is responsible to provide one person for the scorekeeping table for each game (one to run the scoreboard and one to keep the stats sheet). Although these positions are on the sign up, if you notice a vacancy on any game day, please run on over there and fill in!

If you are new to running the scoreboard or filling out the scoresheet, there are instructions included with the scoresheets. And there are always lots of veterans around who can give you pointers. We welcome newcomers!
