Wow, this weekend showed what these Gator Girls are about! Playing in an LP4U in St.Charles against a very good Illinois Lightning team, we were able to be a part of one of the most exciting come back wins this team has been a part of! Not only did they do it once, but they did it twice. The grit and fight these girls show is something that can’t be coached. They have the hunger in them, and it sure is fun to be a part of! 💪🏻

Going 2-2 on the weekend doesn’t do justice to the growth of this team over the past few years. It’s always exciting to see the plays you practice, working in a game. The ex*****on at the plate you practice, working in a game. The diving catches, plate discipline, and game IQ and awareness, are all areas of growth that come with years of playing. And it sure it showing! So excited to see where this season takes us!

✳️Our players of the games (voted by teammates):

The Gator Girls started out on 🔥 this morning taking down an 18u IMG team 11-4! The rain didn’t help us out in the second game, falling short. We battled in the third game, but just couldn’t hang on to finish it. Overall, it was a great day for our first time out, first time playing in a higher age group, and first time playing on a college field. And they looked tough in their uniforms from BSN!

Thank you to Saint Mary’s College and the coaching staff for making it a memorable day for us! Go Belles!

Players of the games (voted by the team):
Alanya Kline-excellent catches in the outfield
Abby Oehmen-unstoppable defense at shortstop

The Gator Girls had a great practice today preparing for our first games of the season, which start tomorrow. We then had some team bonding time, pizza, volleyball, and the most favorite time of the year…UNIFORMS!!! Because at this age, style is everything! They were pumped! 💪🏻

Tomorrow we play our first round robin at Saint Mary’s College. At 16u, we have some good competition coming our way! Check us out of GC! Let’s goooooo!!!! 🧡💙🐊🥎

Another successful Gator Day put on by the organization! 🐊 With beautiful weather, the ladies had some great bonding time, as well as heard from some motivational speakers. Always love picking up pieces from Shonda Stanton, IU head coach/AUSL coach 🔴⚪️ Looking forward to an excellent year in the Gator life! 🥎🐊
