What is The Face Challenge?

The 7ish mile course starts with a brutal half mile climb straight up the ski slope. No trail. No switchbacks. No brakes. Just you and the mountain. Some sections reach grades of nearly 25%, with sustained pitches that will have you questioning your life choices. All starting at 8600’.

Once you conquered The Face, the challenge isn’t over. You’ll continue on marked trails all the way to the top of the Platinum Lift before turning around and descending back to town.

It’s short, steep, and unforgettable.

Not hard enough? Marathon runners get to do this at mile 20!
