AT-RISK International is proud to have two of our team members taking the stage at GSX 2026, sharing practical perspectives on two important areas of modern security: intelligence-led decision-making and executive protection.

On Monday, September 14, Protective Intelligence Analyst Stephanie Bramel, will present: Center of Gravity Analysis for Security Intelligence: Focusing Efforts Where Risk Truly Resides. Stephanie’s session will explore how “center of gravity” analysis—a framework traditionally used in military planning—can be adapted to help security intelligence teams prioritize threats and vulnerabilities, reduce analytic bias, and focus limited resources on the factors that most influence security outcomes.

Then, on Tuesday, September 15, President & CEO Chuck Tobin will join a panel discussion on Right-sizing Executive Protection: What The ASIS Standard Means for CSOs. Chuck and his fellow panelists will discuss how CSOs can leverage the ASIS Executive Protection Standard to build, evaluate, and strengthen EP programs, including how to apply the Standard within lean teams and use it to support conversations around budget, headcount, and organizational risk. Please note: Chuck’s session is open to CSO Center members and invited guests only.

If you’re attending , we hope you’ll join Stephanie and Chuck for these important conversations.

Anyone can stay composed when everything is going according to plan. Professionals distinguish themselves when it isn't.

The work we do often involves uncertainty, evolving situations, and complex environments. Preparation, experience, and teamwork allow our professionals to respond thoughtfully, not react emotionally.

That's what clients trust, and it's one of the qualities we value most in every member of our team.

Effective intelligence work goes beyond collecting information. It requires analysts to evaluate credibility, identify patterns, challenge assumptions, recognize emerging indicators, and translate what they know into insights that support informed decision-making.

As the next installment in our glossary series, we've compiled a quick-reference guide to essential Intelligence & Risk terms. Whether you work directly in intelligence or rely on intelligence to inform security and risk decisions, a shared understanding of these concepts can help teams ask better questions, communicate more clearly, and ultimately make better-informed decisions.

Which intelligence term or concept do you think is most important for decision-makers to understand?

Balancing school safety with the needs of a student, staff, or community member of concern is a complicated process. Guides and toolkits are not enough. School-based violence prevention teams need high-quality training focusing on the knowledge and skills required to implement a Behavioral Threat Assessment and Management (BTAM) strategy with fidelity.

AT-RISK International Certified Threat Managers have extensive experience training K-12 BTAM teams and educators on school safety and violence prevention.

The road to 2028 is already underway.

As Los Angeles prepares to welcome the world for the 2028 Olympic Games, it is a reminder that successful events are built on preparation that begins long before the first guest arrives.

Effective event security starts with understanding the environment, identifying vulnerabilities, coordinating stakeholders, and developing plans that can adapt as circumstances evolve.

AT-RISK helps organizations prepare through tailored event security solutions, including security assessments, protective intelligence, advance planning, secure transportation, and close protection.

Your event may be months, or even years, away. Your security planning should not be.

AI data centers are becoming more than critical infrastructure; they're becoming focal points for an evolving security landscape. As AI infrastructure expands, so does the complexity of protecting it.

According to AT-RISK International's Global Risk Intelligence team, anti-data center sentiment continues to intensify across the U.S., while security professionals and federal authorities are increasingly recognizing AI data centers as high-value infrastructure. Although successful physical attacks remain uncommon, the convergence of organized protest activity, cyber threats, and the potential for sabotage is creating a more complex risk environment for operators, technology companies, and public officials.

Our latest intelligence brief highlights:
• The rise in nationwide protest activity
• Why AI data centers are drawing increased attention
• Emerging security trends
• Practical recommendations for organizations monitoring this evolving landscape

Strong security isn't built on assumptions. It's built on curiosity - the willingness to ask one more question, to look one step further, and to notice what others overlook.

Whether we're conducting investigations, producing intelligence, supporting executive protection, or assessing threats, curiosity is one of the most valuable skills our team brings to every engagement.

We don't hire people because they have all the answers. We hire people who never stop looking for better ones.
