Keeping It Real with Allie | Story Time!

At my very first internship in the fitness industry, a man told me that if I wanted to be successful, I needed to lose weight and “look the part.”

I was only 18.

I was brand new to this world, excited to learn and build a career doing something I loved—and one of the first things I discovered was that, apparently, the way my body looked mattered more than I ever expected it to.

That comment stuck with me. More than 10 years later, I can still remember exactly how it made me feel.

And unfortunately, it wasn’t the last time I saw that side of the fitness industry.

Over the years, though, my idea of what fitness should be has become so much bigger than weight, calories burned, or looking a certain way.

Fitness should help you feel strong. Give you energy. Build confidence. Support your physical and mental health. Help you take care of yourself while still enjoying your life.

And somewhere along the way, that experience at 18 became part of the reason I knew I wanted to create something different.

I wanted HEAT to be a place where you never have to “look the part” to belong. Where showing up is celebrated, modifications are encouraged, progress looks different for everyone, and the person next to you is cheering you on instead of comparing herself to you.

Encouragement over judgment. Always. 💙🔥

That’s the kind of fitness industry I want to be a part of.

And I think that 18-year-old girl would be pretty damn proud of what I’ve built today. 🫂

There’s nothing quite like the way you feel after a great workout. 💪✨

More energy. Better mood. Stronger body. Clearer mind.

Come move, sweat, laugh, and leave feeling better than when you walked in. That’s what Heat Fitness is all about. 🔥

Your body will thank you!

“You don’t have to workout today. You get to workout today.”

It’s easy to forget that when the workout feels hard, motivation is low, or showing up feels like just another thing on the to-do list.

But being able to move our bodies is a privilege. 💪

We get to build strength.
We get to challenge ourselves.
We get to take care of the body that carries us through our lives.

That doesn’t mean you’ll always be excited to workout—and you don’t have to be. Sometimes a simple mindset shift from “I have to” to “I get to” is enough to remind us why we’re doing it in the first place.

Today, move because you can 🩵

Sometimes the best way to make an exercise harder isn’t adding more weight — it’s adding more intention. Make every rep count. 💪

What I do when motivation is LOW 👇

Because yes… even as a coach, there are plenty of days I don’t feel like working out or making the “perfect” meal. Instead of forcing it, I make things a little easier on myself.

💪 Do workouts I enjoy
If I’m struggling to get started, I’ll pick exercises I know I like. Not every workout needs to be perfectly programmed. Sometimes making it feel more manageable is what gets me moving in the first place.

🥣 Sneak in protein
I definitely don’t always feel like eating meat, so I look for easy ways to add protein into meals I actually want. In the middle pic, I added yogurt to my smoothie bowl for an easy protein boost. Little things add up!

👟 Go for walks
This is the deal I make with myself: if I’m not going to work out, I at least need to go for a walk and get some steps in. Most of the time, getting outside and moving makes me feel better anyway.

Low motivation doesn’t have to mean doing nothing. Sometimes I just lower the barrier and do what feels doable that day. 🤍

Every year, people come try a workout and discover that it’s about so much more than fitness. The people you surround yourself with make all the difference. ❤️💪
