After a lot of prayer and thought I have decided that at the end of this season I will be stepping down as President of Tatum Youth Football.

This decision wasn’t made lightly. I am incredibly proud of what I have accomplished over the last two years and so thankful for every person who has supported me, helped me, volunteered, coached, encouraged me and trusted me along the way.

I have poured so much of my heart into TYF and it has poured so much right back into me. But I also believe there are seasons for everything and after this year I feel like it’s time for me to step back and allow a new fresh face with new energy and ideas to take the reins and continue moving this league forward.

We still have a lot of football left this season and I fully intend to give it everything I have until the very end.

If you feel like TYF is something you would be interested in taking on next year please reach out to me. I would love to talk with you about what the role entails, have you shadow me the rest of this year and help make the transition as smooth as possible.

Next year will be Cowboy’s last year in Tatum Youth Football before he moves on to play for the middle school. So I won’t be gone I’ll still be loud and proud in the stands while he plays his last year of little league

Thank you for everything y’all have poured into me while I’ve had the privilege of pouring my heart into this league and these kids.

We’re not finished yet. Let’s make the rest of this season one to remember🏈

Tomorrow is our FIRST HOME GAME of the season as our Tatum Eagles take on JEFFERSON! 💚

Our football players and cheerleaders have been putting in the work since July for this moment and now it’s time to FILL THE STANDS and show up BIG for these athletes!

🍋 Squeeze & Sip will also be out there serving up their delicious lemonades, so grab one and enjoy a full day of Tatum football!

Our hearts were absolutely broken when one of our own Sage broke his leg during practice. This may be his first year with us but it didn’t take long for him to become such a special part of this team. And if you know him then you know this injury hasn’t changed his love for football one bit. He’s already ready to come back and play again💚

We wanted to come together and make sure Sage knows just how loved and valued he is. An injury may keep him off the field but it will NEVER take him off this team. He is still one of us. Always.

Sage has one of the biggest hearts. He is always positive, always willing to learn and almost always with that sweet smile on his face.

We love you Sage! We can’t wait to have you at our games cheering your brothers on from the sidelines while you heal. Please keep him in your prayers for complete healing and a strong comeback

As we get closer to kicking off our season I want to remind everyone of something that is extremely important to me and to Tatum Youth Football💚

We take pride in how we represent Tatum. Whether we are at home or traveling to another community the way our players, parents, families, coaches and fans carry themselves is a reflection of our entire organization and our town.

As everyone signed at sign ups TYF has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy. There will be absolutely no yelling at or disrespecting referees, coaches, players, teammates, parents, board members, myself or one another. This applies to everyone who comes through our gates or sits in our stands.

If an incident occurs you will be asked to leave. Depending on the situation you and your athlete may be removed from the organization with no refund. We hope we never have to enforce that policy but we absolutely will if necessary.

Please remember…this is Little League football. There are no professional athletes on that field. There are no professional coaches on those sidelines. I am certainly not a professional either😂 We are parents and volunteers giving our time and doing the very best we can for these kids.

There will be missed calls. There will be mistakes. There will be wins and losses. There will be moments when we don’t all agree. In those moments we ask for kindness, grace and respect. Approaching anyone the day of a game is not the place or time.

At the end of the day these are KIDS. This is Little League. And this is supposed to be FUN💚

Let’s cheer loud, encourage every kid, show grace to one another and represent TATUM in a way we can all be proud of. It takes all of us. Let’s do this together and make this our BEST YEAR YET🦅💚🏈
