After a hard-fought battle, the Wolves made a first-round exit from the playoffs. With only 8 guys suited up, the heart and hustle were never in question—but the odds were stacked against us.

It wasn’t the ending we hoped for, but this season was full of grit, growth, and overcoming adversity. From battling short rosters to sneaking into the playoffs, we stayed true to who we are: a team that never backs down.

As we regroup and prepare for the fall season, we're also looking to add to the pack. If you're interested in trying out, we’re specifically looking for a catcher, pitching help, and potentially an outfielder.

Against all odds… we’re in 🐺⚾

After dropping our final two games of the regular season, we sat just outside of the playoff picture. But thanks to some late-season chaos, the 8th seed opened up and your Skyway Wolves are officially headed to the postseason!

This Sunday, we face our biggest challenge yet: the #1 seed DCB (11-1) in Dade City at 9AM. The record may not be in our favor, but our fight is.

FINAL HOME GAME DOMINANCE 💪🐺

The Wolves closed out our regular season home schedule with a statement win against the Athletics, taking the game 14–1 behind a 19-hit offensive explosion and lights-out pitching from all three arms.

After a tough loss last week, we bounced back with authority — once we took the lead, we never looked back. Huge days at the plate from #28 Alex Sanjurjo (3-for-3, 3 RBI, 2 Runs) and #10 Chad Hawkins (3-for-3, 2 RBI, 2 Runs) helped spark a relentless attack.

On the mound, #15 Sherwin Johnson, #8 Darryl Santiago, and #2 Tre Hopps combined for 11 strikeouts and held the A’s to just 1 run over 7 innings.

🔥 We’re now 4-4-1 on the season and looking to finish strong.

Game Recap vs Nicaragua 5/18

This past Sunday in the hottest game of the year, the Wolves came out swinging. A quick 3-run burst in the first two innings, fueled by clutch hitting and aggressive baserunning, had us in control early. Tremayne Hopps set the tone on the mound with a dominant 3-inning start, keeping Nicaragua off balance.

But the heat—and their bats—caught up to us. The fourth inning saw the wheels come off as Nicaragua stormed back, and with our bullpen stretched thin, we ultimately fell via run rule in the 7th. Final score: 14–3.

We drop to 3-4-1 on the season, continuing the trend of alternating wins and losses each week.

We’re back home this Sunday at 9am to face the 2-8 Athletics—time to bounce back and get back to .500. Let’s ride.

After two weeks off, the Skyway Wolves returned with a bang, taking down the Brooklyn Dodgers 22–9 on the road in Clearwater. Short-handed again with just 11 players, the team showed resilience and firepower from top to bottom.

#𝟭𝟱 𝗦𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘄𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗻 threw a complete game, and #𝟮𝟯 𝗖𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗥𝗼𝗱𝗿𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘇 made a strong return from injury with a big 3-RBI double. The Wolves jumped out with 6 in the 1st, but errors kept it close until a 12-run 6th inning sealed the win.

Big days at the plate also came from #𝟵 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗮, #𝟲 𝗝𝗼𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹, #𝟭𝟬 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝘄𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 #𝟭𝟮 𝗠𝗶𝗴𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗼 as they combined for 10 hits, 12 Runs and 11 RBIs,

Now at .500 (3-3-1) and 7th in the standings, Skyway heads into Mother’s Day weekend with momentum and five games to go.

Postgame Recap – 4/13 vs. PC Spartans

Another gritty battle today at Skyway against a strong Spartans squad. It was a much-needed boost to have #15 Sherwin Johnson back on the bump, showing flashes of his usual dominance. Unfortunately, a few tough innings on the mound and missed opportunities at the plate proved costly.

The Wolves made a late push with a 4-run 6th inning, but the rally came up just short. Despite the loss, the fight and heart were there until the last out.

We now head into Easter weekend with a break and a bye week to follow. Time to regroup, get healthy, and gear up for the final stretch of the season. The playoff race is still wide open — and we’re not done yet.

Undefeated no more! The Wolves completed another comeback win against the Rays. After falling behind 7-2, we erupted in the top of the 7th with 7 runs, and 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗻𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗽𝘀 ( #𝟮𝟲) shut the door in the bottom to secure the win. Despite some errors in the 6th, the team fought valiantly. New pitcher 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗩𝗶𝗱𝗮𝗹 ( #𝟮𝟭) battled through 4⅓ innings, allowing only 2 earned runs on 3 hits. The top-of-the-lineup was fired up by a speedy 1-2 punch from Tremayne and 𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗴 𝗦𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗮 ( #𝟵)—combining for 5 hits, 4 runs, and 2 RBIs—while 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝘄𝗸𝗶𝗻𝘀 ( #𝟭𝟬) shined with a 3-for-4 performance.

The Skyway Wolves (1-2-1) are back on the road and ready for battle against the undefeated Tampa Bay Rays (6-0).

We may be rolling with a short roster, but heart > numbers—and we’ve taken down the Rays before. Making their Wolves debut today are Steven Vidal, a CFABL veteran who gets the start on the mound, and Argenies Lopez, bringing fresh energy to the squad.
