2026 WHITEBOARD DAY is in full swing! Keeping the traditions alive! Today everything is a competition in the gym. Our first session of the day was full of intense battles and maybe a little smack talking.

Congratulations to Danielle Priest on being named the 2026 Interim Head Volleyball Coach at Hillsborough College!

Coach Danielle's journey with the Hawks has come full circle. As a Hillsborough College volleyball student-athlete from 2008–2010, she helped build the program's tradition of excellence. She later returned to give back as an assistant coach from 2014–2015, and again from 2019 through the present, playing a key role in the development of countless student-athletes both on and off the court.

Her passion for Hillsborough College, dedication to the game, and commitment to serving her players have made a lasting impact on the program. There is no one more deserving of this opportunity, and we are excited to see her lead the Hawks into the 2026 season.

After a quarter of a century coaching for the Lady Hawks, Gary Larkin has passed the baton. Coach Larkin has resigned from coaching the women's volleyball team, but he will continue as a full-time faculty member for the college.

"No words could express what the relationships mean," said Larkin. "There are so many special people and so many special memories."

With both Aidan and Reina in college in the fall, Larkin will spend some time on the road with wife Lisa visiting and supporting the kids as they compete in rugby and volleyball.

As for HC volleyball, Larkin stated, "The 2026 Lady Hawks are in great hands, and I will enjoy watching this incredibly special group compete for a championship."

"Thank you to all who took this journey with me. No post could express my gratitude."

We see you Gabi ('23)! Good luck this coming season in the Polish Pro League.

2025-2026 is a wrap! The Hillsborough College Volleyball program will send six sophomores to NCAA scholarships, and one earned coaching certification with the Polish Volleyball Federation. We are proud of you guys! Carry the lessons forward, and be extraordinary.

Sophomore libero Aubree Hummel committed to Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and Head Coach Kendall Paulus. We are so proud of you, Bree, and can't wait to follow along! Go Cougars!
