I take a natural approach with my horses. They get a lot of silly human interaction and I don't tip-toe around them. They are not locked up in stalls and have forage and pasture 24/7.
Sam is allowed to have his herd and live a life socialized with mares and geldings. I don't spend hours each day grooming my horses, I simply don't have time for that with a full time mentally draining and demanding job. But I do have spa-days and enjoy sharing my horses with visitors.
