Junior gold tournament update.

Brooks Walter has advanced to the top 64 in 28 place at a plus 265 after 21 games . They now bowl 5 more games and the top 16 advance to the double elimination stepladder.

Good evening, everyone.
Before sharing this announcement, I want to thank everyone for supporting the Tallahassee USBC youth bowlers who competed in the 2026 USBC Junior Gold Championships.

To the parents and coaches who helped each bowler: your dedication to promoting the sport of bowling is truly amazing. The bowlers’ performance is a reflection of your guidance and encouragement, and they represented both Tallahassee and you with pride, professionalism, and strength. The future of the sport is bright because of them. To the parents, grandparents, and friends who came out to support these bowlers: you are amazing.

Tournament Overview
This week, seven youth bowlers from Tallahassee competed over four days, Monday through Thursday, on four different oil patterns and at four different squad times: 7:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m., 4:00 p.m., and 8:30 p.m. If you think that sounds easy, trust me—it is not.
For Chrissy, Ashlee, Kaycee, Dylan, John, and Jayden, this was their first time competing in this type of tournament. That is truly amazing.

For Brooks this was his 2nd time at Junior Gold and what an amazing week for him.

Advancing to the Next Round
After 16 games, we have one bowlers advanced to the Advancer Round on Friday. They will bowl five games in the morning, after which the field will be cut in half. They will then bowl five more games. After those 10 games, the field will be reduced to a double-elimination format until the top three bowlers advance to the TV finals. That is a lot of games.

Congratulations to Brooks Walter, who finished 35th out of 915 bowlers.
