Two Step Tuesday goes a little West Coast this week. 🤠

Steamboat Swings and Two Right Feet are hosting at Schmiggity's this Tuesday night from 7–9pm (9/15).

It's the Two Step Tuesday you know — country, line dances, room to move — with more West Coast Swing in the mix and more pop in the playlist.

Starting with a line dance lesson at 7 pm and then social dancing till 9 pm. Come for the lesson, stay for the night, or just come watch until your boots get restless.

We’re bringing up guest instructor “Dance Man” Robin from Portland to teach this lovely dance - which is perfect for weddings and slow songs. If you’ve ever learned waltz, this could be considered an equivalent in more standard 4/4 time.

Thank You, Steamboat!

What a wonderful night at our Hello Summer Dance Party! A huge thank you to everyone who came out to dance, laugh, connect, and help us celebrate Steamboat Swings’ first birthday.

One year ago, we set out to build community through the joy of social dancing. Seeing the dance floor filled with new faces, longtime friends, line dancers, West Coast Swing dancers, and everyone in between reminds us just how special this community has become.

Thank you to all of our volunteers, instructors, board members, and dancers who have helped make this first year such a success. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Here’s to another year of lessons, parties, workshops, friendships, and great nights on the dance floor. We can’t wait to see where the next year takes us!

Steamboat Swings is turning ONE YEAR OLD!

One year ago we set out with a simple goal: build community through the joy of social dancing. Since then we’ve shared so many amazing nights together — lessons, library dances, workshops, studio parties, laughter, new friendships, and a whole lot of dancing. 💃🕺

This Friday’s Hello Summer Dance Party at the Library is our chance to celebrate all of it — and we’d love for you to come dance with us!

Ready to try something new this summer? Our beginner-friendly 8-week Intro to West Coast Swing series is a fun, social way to get moving, meet people, and learn one of the most versatile partner dances around. Danced to everything from pop and blues to country and contemporary music, West Coast Swing is all about connection, creativity, and having a great time on the dance floor.

You’ll learn the core patterns, timing, and partner connection skills needed to feel comfortable social dancing — all in a welcoming, low-pressure environment. No partner or experience needed!

Time: Thursdays 6-7 pm (June/July starting 6/4 through 7/30 with no class on July 2nd)
