EARLY REGISTRATION OPENS SUNDAY, AUGUST 16!

🏁Race Day Recap!🏁

Whew!😮‍💨 What a day!

First and foremost, we want to express how incredibly proud we are of Oliver and how he raced yesterday. We are continuing to see so much growth on the track and within himself, and it’s showing with every race.

Qualifying⏱️
Oliver ended up qualifying P4 of 7 for the first feature and P5 of 8 for the second.

✨Feature 1✨
Oliver started P4, but quickly fell back to P5. This is where Oliver showed true growth in his driving strategy. Oliver knew how aggressive the front the of field was, so he chose to wait them out. And little by little, they took each other out sending car after car to the back of the field. By lap 12, Oliver had gained P2. He held that position the rest of the race and got himself his first blue rookie second place finish!🥈

✨Feature 2✨
Oliver started P5 and quickly moved to P3 early in the race. There quickly became a clear divide between the front of the field and the back, and Oliver was hanging right in the middle of it. He maintained P3 for the majority of the race. On lap 9, Oliver got spun out, had to come to the pits for some air in one of his tires and was sent to the back and just couldn’t catch back up. Unfortunately, in the hot chute as we were about to push him off, we noticed that one Oliver’s tires had loss a little air. Thinking it would all be okay because the tire would build up pressure as he raced, we refilled it and sent him out. Little did we know, we’d run 121 laps, only 20 of those were actually racing(there were quite a few wrecks). The tire couldn’t hang and ultimately was our downfall of the race.

Watching Oliver truly race against and even beat some of the kids who have intimidated him in the past was truly amazing to see!

We are not a family who only celebrate wins. We celebrate growth! And boy is Oliver growing to be a mighty fine racer!💪🏻
