Congratulations to Ernie Humes on big win last night. 100k pay pay day not bad. Good luck for another 50k today.

Few months ago he had a little LS mechanical issues after only 1700+ passes on engine. Normal Ernest Humes didn't get all spun out. Called talked about what we thought it was. Took it apart surprise it was what we thought. Acquired parts to fix, put back in car, few losses at 6 cars, semis, and think 1 local final before going to main stage to seal the deal for 100k. Its currently not a easy industry to be in building engines as parts materials and quality are tough these days. This weekend at Zmax Dragway, I narrowly missed the NHRA 4 Wide finals by one round, but it was still a successful event. As the #1 qualifier, I managed to deliver solid performances despite encountering several perceived issues with the car after qualifying that ultimately didn't materialize. Jeff Strickland advanced to the finals from his semifinal round rutt he's been in. I had hoped to face him in the final round. Following a disappointing showing at the SGMP NHRA Divisional, I'm pleased that the changes I implemented yielded positive results.

Additionally, I assisted with Roger Brogdon's Pro Stock car, owned by Beaver Motorsports, which competed on Sunday. It was a busy weekend, but I ensured I met my step goals for April.

I appreciate the support from everyone who reached out with kind words; their encouragement means a great deal to me as I reflect on the event to identify areas for improvement.

MOPAR MONDAY!!! Hone in a couple Mopar blocks. Trying to get the cam tunnel, Main line, and all the lifter boards honed. Hopefully later on this week will be home in some cylinders so we can move on to the next phase of mocking these things all up.

2026 is starting off rough, hoping rest of year settles down.

Thank you Ed and everything you did for our industry. Only met you once and you were giving Danny Jessel a hard time about their new Clam Shell cam bearings. You laughed and said Ford model A was running that 90 years ago 😆

NHRA D2 Rockingham Super Stock WINNER! Kevin Locklear !

I haven't been able to attend many events with these guys but I was really happy to be there for this one. It was a win but not like all the others, this was Kevin's 1st NHRA Walley WIN!!!

Cool part to me is he is Footbreaking the car, everyone else is leaving off a 2 step with a button and he's over here swapping feet like a PRO! What really blows people's mind even more is its a EFI combination. No one ever told me here at WMS you can't do that when I set up the efi.
