Last Friday Night’s re-scheduled FIRST EVER Short-Track (XCC) Missouri State Championship Race was a huge success. Beautiful weather, an amazing Sunset, somehow dry trails?, and absolutely ripping fast Course made for a night to remember!

A huge thank you to everyone who helped facilitate this re-schedule, and a special thanks to ICC Challenge Race Directors Deanna & Nathan for their dedication to helping this Race happen. We appreciate you all so much!

Shoutout to YING YING YING cycling apparel on the State Champion Jerseys. Not only are they a local STL brand, but their Missouri State Championship Jerseys are some of the coolest we’ve seen 😉

That’s an official wrap ya’ll. Thanks again for an amazing Summer! What’s next for us? Getting ready for The Equalizer Gravel Race in Marthasville!

From the ICC/Southside Team:

Unfortunately, due to current course conditions and possible flooding concerns at this evening’s XCC venue, we need to reschedule tonight’s StL Dirt Crits XCC Short Track Championship.

Rider safety and course conditions have to come first, and we do not feel it is best to move forward with the race at the original venue this evening.

Updated XCC Race Plan is a follows:
The XCC race will now be held;
Friday evening, August 7
Indian Camp Creek Park / ICC Trails
2679 Dietrich Rd.
Foristell, MO 63348

Your race category has not changed, and the race will be held at the same scheduled start time that was listed for this evening.
Please plan to arrive early enough to park, check in, warm up, and report to staging at least 10 minutes before your start time.

Important Notes:
Please do not report to the original XCC venue this evening.
All XCC categories remain the same.

Start times remain the same as originally scheduled.
The race will now take place at the Indian Camp Creek / ICC Trails venue.

Please watch for event signage and follow volunteer directions when you arrive.

We understand that schedule changes are never ideal, and we appreciate your flexibility and understanding as we make the safest decision for the racers, volunteers, officials, and event staff.

We will also be posting to our social media and updated the event guide.
Thank you for being part of the ICC Challenge. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow evening at Indian Camp Creek for XCC racing.
Ride On,
ICC Challenge Team

It’s the last day to sign up for the ICC Challenge and test your fitness against the fastest riders in the state of Missouri. If glory wasn’t a good enough reason, here are the official Missouri State Championship Jerseys!

That’s right, each discipline (Cross-Country, Marathon, and Short-Track) will get their own distinct State Championship Jersey, designed by local STL cycling apparel brand YING YING YING™️

So … which Jersey is your favorite?

Last night’s Summer Series Finale was one for the history books. Beautiful weather, an amazing Community, and a ripping fast Course made for a night to remember!

A huge thank you to everyone who came up to us to tell us how much they love this Series. We appreciate you all so much! There’s nothing quite like Dirt Crits, and it’s all of YOU that make this event what it is - so THANK YOU ALL!

While we’re shelling out thanks, please give a round of applause to 4 Hands Brewing Company & SBR Bikes & Brews for their continued support of these Races.

Results from the Finale Race & Series Overalls by timing masters at MSE Racing can be found below:
https://www.mseracing.com/race-results

Congratulations to Devon Jarrett & Carrie Cash for continuing their legacy as our Best Overall Riders for the Series. As such, next year’s 2027 “A” Races will be titled “Chasing Devon” & “Chasing Carrie”. Strong performances you two - ya’ll earned this title!

For next week: Please note our 8/6 event at the Dirt Crits Course is not actually a Dirt Crit, nor is it part of our normal Summer Series. It is a separate USA Cycling Sanctioned, Short-Track MO State Championship Race, as the opening event for the ICC Challenge Weekend of Races. As such, registration & categories are different and can be found below:
https://www.bikereg.com/73536

That’s a wrap ya’ll. Thanks again for an amazing Summer. Hope to see most of you at the State Championship Race, as well as out on the trails!

A few notes for our Summer Series Dirt Crits Finale this evening:

Online Registration will close early today at 2:30pm.

Thanks to the hard work from John Hansen, Landon Aberle, and Cooper White on the Course earlier this week, we will have PRIMOOOOOOO Course conditions. Greenery has been trimmed back, all glass sections have been raked, all turns & straightaways have been blown, and it will no doubt be the FASTEST COURSE we all have ever raced on tonight and next week.

We will be racing CLOCKWISE (again). While we raced this direction last week, tonight the grass sections will be taped differently to reflect the exact course for the Short-Track State Championship next Thursday. If you’re racing the State Championship and tonight’s Dirt Crits finale, you will now have the leg up on those who don’t!

Stick around after the Races for both the Finale Awards as well as the Series Team Awards & Best Overall Rider Awards. The “Team Awards” pictures are always the most fun, so don’t let your friends leave early!

The A & B+ Race (the Races starting at 7:00pm) will be two laps shorter than usual (approx. 35 minutes) to give us ample time for awards before dusk, while also giving these Racers the chance to experience a format closer to the 20 minute Race Duration of next week’s Short-Track State Championship Race.

See you tonight!

Two BIG Thursdays are coming up!

📅 Thursday, July 30 – Summer Series Finale!
This week is the final race of our Summer Short Track Series! It's your last chance to battle for individual and team points before the season comes to a close.
🏆 Please stick around after racing as we'll recognize our season champions and hand out our Summer Series Team Awards!

📅 Thursday, August 6 – Missouri Short Track State Championship
The following Thursday is something brand new! We're excited to partner with the ICC Challenge to host the first-ever Missouri Short Track State Championship! 🏁 Start times and race distances will be different than the summer series.

While SBR will be hosting and timing the event, this is NOT part of the Summer Series.
⚠️ This is a completely separate event.
⚠️ Summer Series registrations do NOT carry over.
⚠️ You will get a NEW race number!
⚠️ You MUST register separately on BikeReg to compete for the Missouri State Championship.

We hope you'll join us for both events—one to wrap up an incredible Summer Series and one to crown Missouri's very first Short Track State Champions!

Summer Series Dirt Crits #4 (out of 5) at our Valley Park Course is in the books!

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful night, which brought out a huge crowd (there were almost 130 participants between Racers, Volunteers, and Spectators). A huge thank you to everyone! You are what makes this Series so special.

Results from the Timing Masters at MSE Racing can be found below under “Dirt Crits Race 4”:

Shoutout to 4 Hands Brewing Company for providing the best post race refreshments you could ask for & a huge thank you to SBR Bikes & Brews for giving us all the opportunity to ride & race together as a Community!

Special thanks to John Matthews and his gracious donation to the Fastest Male & Female of the night (or at least the fastest to catch him). We will be matching his generosity with a matched donation to Gateway Off-Road Cyclists. The trails we love wouldn’t be possible without their hours and hours of volunteer work!

As next Thursday is the last Race of the Series, we will award both the “Team Competition” and the “Best Overall Rider”. You can check out the standings for these at the link above. Here are our current Leaders going into our last Race …

Team Competition
1. SBR Racing p/b YING YING YING
2. South Side Cyclery XC Devo
3. Wheels Up XCG

Best Overall Rider Male
1. Devon Jarrett
2. Nick Ramirez
3. Michael Rennier

Best Overall Rider Female
1. Carrie Cash
2. Chelsea Jarrett
3. Elise Coudright

See you next Thursday for our very last Summer Dirt Crits of the Season!

Just a reminder that on Thursday, August 6th we will host the first ever Short-Track State Championship Race at our very own Valley Park Course. This race is not a part of our series, but a part of the ICC Challenge State Championship Series, and therefore registration is separate. You can check that out here:

Hey All,
This is the TOUGHEST weather call we've had yet.

All we know is that it's going to rain in Valley Park today... unfortunately, we have no idea when or how much (changes every 20 minutes). It could be nothing, or it could be a quick half-inch—which is all it takes to leave the course covered in unrideable puddles.

With that uncertainty, we can't ask everyone (including us) to sit around until 3:00 or 4:00 this afternoon waiting to see what happens. So, we've made the difficult decision to cancel today's races.

We're sorry Mother Nature decided to *literally* rain on our parade the last two weeks. ☔️ We are looking forward to seeing everyone next week!

Unfortunately tonight’s races are CANCELED.

We got to the course to do some trail maintenance and there is standing water on the course. What a bummer.

ALL registrations will be transferred to next week, see you then!
