🏆 Four more South Carolinians are bringing home hardware today!

Walter Todd of Laurens, S.C., and Eddie Hargett of Okatie, S.C., fired rounds of 66-63 to finish at 15-under and capture the 65+ Division of the 15th Carolinas Super Senior Four-Ball Championship at Fripp Island Resort.

In the 70+ Division, Thomas Eberhard of Johns Island, S.C., and Bob Edens of Columbia, S.C., finished at 13-under to claim the title.

Congratulations to Spartanburg, S.C.’s Mike Sposa on capturing the 71st U.S. Senior Amateur Championship! 👏

Sposa defeated fellow Spartanburg resident and longtime friend Todd White, 3 and 2, in an all-Carolinas final at Baltimore Country Club.

A member of the victorious 1991 USA Walker Cup Team and a former PGA TOUR professional, Sposa can now add USGA champion to an already impressive golf résumé.

And congratulations to Todd on another outstanding run on the national stage. The 2023 U.S. Senior Amateur Champion and 2013 Walker Cup competitor continues to represent Carolinas golf at the highest level.

The U.S. Senior Amateur Championship title is coming back to the Carolinas.

Spartanburg, S.C.’s Todd White and Mike Sposa have battled their way through the bracket at Baltimore Country Club and will square off Thursday morning for the title.

And there’s plenty of history between the two.

White is the 2023 U.S. Senior Amateur Champion and a two-time USGA champion.

They met in the opening round of this championship just one year ago, with Sposa earning the victory on his way to the semifinals.

Palmetto State Final Set Between White, Sposa at Baltimore C.C. Past champion Todd White and fellow Spartanburg, S.C., resident Mike Sposa will square off in the 18-hole championship match of the 71st U.S. Senior Amateur at Baltimore C.C.

Todd White is making another run at a United States Golf Association - USGA title.

The Spartanburg, S.C., native and Spartanburg Day School history teacher is through to the quarterfinals of the U.S. Senior Amateur, three years after capturing the championship in 2023. The 58-year-old is competing in his 38th USGA championship and is now just three match wins away from another title.

And he’s not the only Carolinian still standing. 👀

Fellow Spartanburg resident Mike Sposa is also into the final eight after reaching the semifinals a year ago. The two former USA Walker Cup teammates sit on opposite sides of the bracket, meaning an all-Spartanburg championship match is still possible.

Two Carolinians. Two Walker Cuppers. One big Wednesday ahead!

Past Champs White, Royak, '25 Semifinalist Sposa Among Final 8 at Baltimore C.C. Past champions Bob Royak and Todd White as well as 2025 semifinalist Mike Sposa are among the quarterfinalists in the 71st U.S. Senior Amateur at Baltimore C.C.

The Carolinas Golf community lost two wonderful women this week.

Maggie Collins and Kathy Binkley, longtime friends and supporters of the CGA and women's golf, tragically passed away this week in Greensboro. Kathy was a fixture at CGA events for decades, competing in team matches and one-day events, and served on the NCWGA Board. Maggie was also a familiar face at CGA events and a passionate supporter of the game for many years.

Our thoughts are with their families and everyone who knew and loved them.

Kathy's memorial service will be held Sunday at 3:00pm in Greensboro at Buffalo Presbyterian Church.

🎓 Congratulations to the 2026 David Parrott Memorial Scholarship recipients!

The Carolinas Golf Foundation is proud to award $30,000 in scholarships to six outstanding students from across the Carolinas, recognizing their academic achievement, passion for golf and commitment to serving their communities.

Congratulations to this year’s recipients and the colleges they’ll be attending:

⛳ Ava Romansky — Anderson University
⛳ Chloe Weigl — Washington and Lee University
⛳ William Allender — Clemson University
⛳ Cayden Rejzer — University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
⛳ Matthew Roff — Rice University

Each student will receive a $5,000 scholarship to help support their college education.
The scholarship honors the legacy of David Parrott, who was diagnosed with leukemia in 1982 and inspired those around him through his determination, sportsmanship and love of golf before passing away at age 16. The CGA established the David Parrott Award in his memory in 1986, and that legacy continues today through scholarships helping the next generation pursue their education.

Tyler Warner is your Boys’ Division champion!

Warner closed with a 67 (-3) to climb one spot and force a playoff, where he came through on the first playoff hole to capture the 7th Mimosa Hills Junior Boys’ Invitational title.

Adelyn Rosado is your Girls’ Division champion!

Rosado carded a final-round 72 (E) to climb two spots and force a playoff, where she sealed the victory on the first playoff hole to capture the 7th Mimosa Hills Junior Girls’ Invitational title.
