Helping people live meaningful lives through integrated and individualized training and guidance.

“Expensive adult daycare” might sound crude, but it’s what many training spaces offer, just with a fancy flag in the background. Our work doesn’t start and end with “effort,” it begins with the idea that our perceptions are limited, and that together, we have to find a way to expand them or change them.

Group training still has some availability, depending on the time slot. $35 for 10 days of training that will reinvigorate your idea of training and what could come of it. Sounds like a steal to me. Link in bio!

Imagine someone holding your head under water where your senses are drowned out, vision is blurred and hearing is muted. This is what most training environments give you. A type of artificial tranquility. Our goal is to use training to shape how we feel in order to get more out of life—to finally have our heads above water.

Not a better deal out there—try a 10 day group trial for only $35. Link in bio for an easy sign up.

I am a chronic over-thinker and I hate dogma and rules.⠀

I’ve never done anything the “normal” way and probably never will.⠀

Which leads me to the thought of self-development. In my opinion it is highly overrated.⠀

We’ve learned to follow an algorithm that says on paper “we are a better person,” when the truth is it hides us from ourselves. ⠀

We don’t know ourselves, we know the step-by-step process that we’ve followed because “so and so” told us it worked for them.⠀

We follow a person and pretend to be them, instead of recognizing that our lives may be drastically different than theirs.⠀

What we lack is self-exploration.⠀

A meaningful practice is only meaningful if there is pressure applied. It is the only way you can break down rock, massage a muscle or learn anything useful.⠀

Apply pressure. Burn something down, oh, and it won’t be easy. ⠀

When we talk about strength, we generally talk about “it” in one capacity: how much weight you can move.⠀

With little regards to how you move, where you move, or what “to move” actually means.⠀

Fitness, lifting weights, getting stronger, getting more fit are all important and they are all aspects, but they are not the only things available to us.⠀

They are not the only things that matter in the context of physical culture, they are parts, but only parts of the practice.⠀

Maybe training is about the vulnerability it can show us, the simplest of tasks become daunting, our breathing becomes shallow as we work through a problem.⠀

It comes down to what we learn from it. ⠀

We could easily drop the 20 pounds we want and still over the course of those 4 months have wasted enormous amounts of time and energy on practices that were unsuitable and unsustainable, training that was superficial and unappreciable.⠀
——————————————————————⠀
It comes down to conversations. To experiencing our own bodies, our own limitations in our minds, our own trust, our own potential. It’s not about lifting weights, it’s about exploring ourselves and the world surrounding us with clearer vision and a more open mind.⠀

“The point of doing something physical is to not be tied to one mode of doing or one mode of being. To be endlessly “workable,” like a dollop of clay that never hardens or gets put into one particular shape, but molds itself to the task and experience. As they change, it changes.

The worst thing we could become is glass.”

“So if I may ask you… what do you dwell about? What are you putting one foot in front of the other for? Why do you care? What keeps you going? Why should I do all of this?”⠀

It’s easy to forget we’re in this together👊🏼⠀

The one inevitable of life is change. Maybe we’re too comfortable accepting less from ourselves.⠀

Maybe being pushed to defend and think for ourselves is what we need.⠀

A perfect catalyst for change.⠀

We either walk alone or walk together✌🏼✌🏼⠀
