On behalf of the Seneca Falls Fire Department, we would like to give a big thank you to the Red Brick Pub for donating their time and making us a delicious feast for our Monday Night meeting.
We love and appreciate their continuous support of this department.

We would also like to shout out Kyle Stengel, and Jeremy Hunt for their generous donation to the department in the name, and in honor of the late David N. Rogers. We cannot thank them enough for this, and will forever hold Dave in our hearts forever.

On Thursday September 10th at 1810 hrs the Seneca County Communications Center dispatched the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department, the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department , the Fayette Vol Fire Dept , the Waterloo Fire Dept, the Geneva Fire Department, and North Seneca Ambulance to an address on Cayuga Street for smoke possibly coming from the roof. District Chief Farnsworth ( 1461 ) was enroute and on location within 1 minute reporting smoke showing from a 2 story residential declaring a working fire. Seneca Falls Quint 1, Engine 3, Engine 1, Rescue 52, 1461, 1463, 1464, and 1465 all responded. Other units assisting on scene was Fayette, Waterloo, Geneva, Tyre, Clyde, Oaks Corners Rehab, North Seneca Ambulance, Nyseg, Seneca County Code Enforcement, Seneca County Fire Investigation team, Seneca County Fire Coordinators , Seneca Falls Police Department and the Seneca Falls and Waterloo Auxiliaries. Special thanks to the Seneca County Communications Center on a job well done and to the Canoga Fire Dept for standing by at the Seneca Falls Station covering the Town while we were tied up. Fortunately there were no injuries to tenants or first responders.

Please use extreme caution around school busses that are stopped either picking up or dropping off students. The last thing we want is a call for a student that has been struck. On Wednesday September 2nd around 2030 hrs the Seneca County Communications Center started dispatching the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department to numerous calls for assistance within the town. From 2030 hrs until 0130 hrs we handled just over 60 calls ranging from down power lines, structural damage to houses, flooded basements, motor vehicle accidents, downed trees, fire alarms, outside fires, and transformer issues. Then this morning our members once again were activated for flooded basements, co detector issues, fire alarms, and a motor vehicle accident. Within roughly the past 16 hours or so our volunteers have answered just under 75 calls. Thank you to the men and women of the Seneca Falls Volunteer Fire Department for your dedication to the protection of our town residents and visitors.

Please continue to use caution this morning as tree limbs, trees, and wires are still down on roadways and sidewalks. Also several streets in the town are still shut down so keep an eye out as you navigate to work.
