West Shore Hockey Ignite hockey passion and provide an environment that is safe, exciting, competitive and affordable.

West Shore Amateur Hockey Association (WSAHA) is committed to our mission: Ignite a passion for hockey, propel our organization to new heights, and provide an environment that is safe, exciting, competitive and affordable. We are a local youth house hockey program, operating in partnership with the West Shore Community Ice Arena (WSCIA) in Scottville, MI and provide skating opportunities to the community for ages 4-18 years. Our 10u (Squirts), 12u (PeeWees), 14u (Bantams) and 18U AA (Midgets) Split Season teams host Home games at WSCIA and travel to compete against other teams, mainly in District 6 of the Michigan Amateur Hockey Association (MAHA). Our 6u/8u (Mites) developmental "Learn to Play" hockey program is a great way to introduce kids to the sport. This program runs from October to the beginning of March, has very low commitment and we have equipment bags available to borrow for this age group. West Shore Community Ice Arena offers Learn to Skate for new skaters who are interested in just getting started on the ice. This program is a once-a-week commitment and aims to help children feel comfortable and confident while skating.

🚪 Doors open at 11am for registration and to get geared up!
📍 West Shore Community Ice Arena

This FREE event is open to kids ages 4–9 and is a great opportunity for new players to experience hockey in a fun, safe environment with trained coaching staff.

No experience necessary! We’ll have plenty of help on hand to get players comfortable on the ice and answer any questions parents may have.

An integral first step to playing hockey is learning to skate. It is the first thing every player needs to be able to, before the stick gets in their hand, before the jersey goes on. That’s why Learn-to-Skate programs are so important in rinks across the nation. These are the classes that bring kids into hockey.

If you are interested or know someone who would be interested in leading this program through West Shore Community Ice Arena please encourage them to reach out using the contact information in the flyer. This is NOT a program coached or lead by the West Shore Wolves, but it is the start of every players pathway and it’s important to see these classes succeed for the youth in our community. 🐺🏒

We are still looking for a Learn to Skate coach. Pay rate depending experience. LTS USA certifications a plus but not necessary. Must be great with kids and parent communications. Sundays 3-5pm from Oct 18 - Dec 6th. No class on Thanksgiving weekend. Apply here or message us with questions.
