A while back, I made a decision that changed everything.

I wanted to move to a city that was more expensive than where I was living. I wanted to be closer to my family. I knew if I was going to make it work, I couldn’t keep living the way I had been.

So I started simplifying.

I canceled subscriptions I didn’t need. I stopped spending money just because it had become a habit. I learned what I could do myself instead of paying someone else. Little by little, I realized how much I could live without.

Then came the harder part.

I had a storage unit filled with years of memories and furniture that had once filled my home. Even a baby grand piano that reminded me of my daughter sitting there, playing and singing. Letting those things go wasn’t just about getting rid of stuff. It was saying goodbye to a life that no longer fit where I was headed.

I donated bags of clothes and shoes I had collected over the years. I kept what I truly needed and let someone else enjoy the rest.

Some days I cried before I sold things or gave them away. Other days I felt lighter than I had in years.

I realized we don’t just hold onto possessions. We hold onto the memories attached to them. Sometimes we’re so busy carrying our past that we make it harder to move toward our future.

One of the toughest things I had to accept was that my children are adults now. They’ll always be my kids, but it was finally time to take care of me, too. They were okay, and what they needed most was for me to be okay.

Today I live with far less than I once owned, and honestly… I don’t miss most of it.

What I gained has meant so much more.

I’m closer to my family. I’m only a short drive from the ocean. I’ve found work that supports this new life while continuing to build Fit to Love Coaching because I believe in what I’m creating.

This experience reminded me that sometimes building a better life isn’t about getting more. Sometimes it’s about having the courage to let go.

For me, none of this would have happened without my faith and trusting the path God had for me, even when I couldn’t yet see it.

Growth isn’t about becoming someone new. It’s about getting to a place where you’re no longer making decisions from fear, old wounds, or survival mode.

Over the past couple of years, I’ve realized that healing doesn’t change who you are. It changes how you think, how you respond, what you’re willing to accept, and ultimately, the life you create.

My move to San Diego isn’t just a change of scenery. It reflects the changes that have been happening inside me for a long time. Living near the beach, being closer to my family, and creating a life that feels peaceful… those aren’t things I’m running away to. They’re things I finally gave myself permission to choose.

I’m excited to be back here sharing again—not just the highlights, but the mindset shifts, lessons, and perspectives that have changed me along the way. Growth has a way of changing both the life you build and the way you see yourself. If something I share helps you on your own journey, then it’s worth it.

Life has a way of dropping bombs on us when we least expect it.

We can have our hopes, plans, and dreams all mapped out… only to watch life take a turn we never saw coming. Circumstances shift. Things fall apart. The people, places, or even versions of ourselves we thought we could count on suddenly don’t fit anymore.

Sometimes it feels like we take two steps forward and three steps back, wondering if we’ll ever truly get ahead. And somewhere in that tension, we realize something has to change. That if we don’t shift, let go, or do something different, we’ll stay stuck in the very place that’s breaking us.

That’s where survival shows up differently than I used to think.

I used to hear the word survival and only associate it with devastation… with barely making it through. But survival is also this wild kind of superpower. It’s the place where we discover what we’re made of when life leaves us no other choice. It’s where strength, creativity, grit, and belief in ourselves show up in ways we may have never known were there.

Survival has a way of stripping things down. It shows you what you actually need, what can come with you, and what has to be left behind.

The attachments we once used as crutches can become the very things keeping us stuck. And somewhere in the middle of letting go, rebuilding, and finding solid ground again, we realize we’re capable of so much more than we ever knew.

Maybe survival isn’t just about making it through the fire.
Maybe it’s about rebuilding your wings while you’re still learning how to fly.

So if life is asking you to let go, start over, make the hard decision, or trust yourself enough to jump — do it.

Keep healing the parts that hurt.
Keep fighting for the version of you that feels whole.
Keep choosing a life that feels aligned, honest, and deeply yours.

It’s our job to condition our hearts and minds to be fit to love life — and ourselves — enough to never give up. 💕

I think one of the most difficult things to wrap ourselves around is that connection can’t be forced.

It feels deeply counterintuitive to emotional craving, attachment, and the desire for reassurance.

But sometimes the more we grip, chase clarity, over-explain, or seek certainty… the more disconnected we become from ourselves in the process.

And oddly enough, it’s often when we become more grounded within ourselves that connection starts flowing more naturally.

Not because we stopped caring.
But because we stopped attaching our worth to outcomes. 🩵

Lately, I’ve realized that healing doesn’t always look like forward motion.

Sometimes it looks like sitting in the unknown. Letting go of things you thought would always be part of your life. Outgrowing versions of yourself. Feeling emotionally exhausted while still trying to hold onto faith that something beautiful is being rebuilt beneath the surface.

There are seasons where it feels like nothing is moving. Where you question yourself. Your direction. Your strength. Your future.

But I’m learning that just because growth doesn’t feel visible, doesn’t mean it isn’t happening.

Roots grow quietly.

Sometimes the deepest healing is happening underneath it all — in the private moments where you choose to keep going anyway. To keep working on yourself. To keep protecting your heart. To keep reconnecting with God, with peace, with truth, and with the person you’re becoming.

Growth takes time before it bears fruit.

So if you’ve been feeling stuck lately, give yourself grace. Maybe you’re just in a season where your roots are strengthening before the next chapter blooms.

Just a little reminder. YOU are enough ALWAYS! đź’•đź’•

05/05/2026

One of the biggest things I’ve been realizing lately
is how hard we can be on ourselves.

We all go through seasons that change us—
pain, patterns, behaviors… moments where we don’t even recognize who we are.

And for a long time, I felt like I had to make sure I knew it.
Like I needed to sit in it, own it, even let other people see that I was aware of who I had been.

But at some point, we have to let ourselves off the hook.

The truth is… it’s the past.
The choices we’ve made don’t get to define us forever.

We can’t keep looking in the mirror
and only seeing the versions of ourselves we’ve already outgrown.

We get one life.
And every day we wake up is another chance to move forward
and become someone we’re proud of.

So if you’re someone who beats yourself up,
puts yourself down,
or keeps yourself stuck in what was—

it’s time to stop.

You don’t deserve to live that way.
Life is too short to stay there.

What matters is who you are right now…
and who you’re choosing to become.

Love yourself a little more everyday not less! đź’•

Sometimes life isn’t about having all the answers.

Sometimes it’s just about waking up, taking the next step, and continuing forward anyway.

There’s a version of you that exists outside of every relationship you’ve ever been in.

But when you’ve been connected to someone for a long time—married, committed, or emotionally intertwined—it’s easy to lose touch with her.

Not all at once.
Just slowly… in the ways you adjust, compromise, and prioritize the relationship.

And then one day, you’re alone again…
and you’re faced with a question you didn’t expect:

Do I actually know myself anymore?

That’s where the real work begins.

Not rushing into something new.
Not filling the space.
But sitting in it.

Learning what you like again.
What you need.
What feels right for you—without someone else’s influence.

Because self-love isn’t just something you say…
it’s something you practice in the quiet.

It’s choosing to spend time with yourself.
To understand yourself.
To enjoy your own company.

And the more you do that…
the more you stop looking for someone to complete you,
and start recognizing that you were always whole.

If this resonates, you’re not alone in this space 💕

There was a time in my life when everything felt like it was falling apart—
my identity, my relationships, and the direction I thought I was going.

And in the middle of rebuilding…
I realized something I didn’t fully understand before:

You are not meant to do this alone.

Being a part of The Women 360 didn’t just support me as I started building my business…
it supported me as I was rebuilding myself.

Surrounding myself with strong, empowering women—
women who see you, encourage you, and remind you who you are becoming—
changes everything.

It gives you strength on the days you feel weak.
It gives you perspective when you feel lost.
And it gives you the endurance to keep going when it would be easier to stop.

In my conversation with Heather Ferrari, we talked about how powerful it is to create spaces like this—
not just for business growth, but for real connection and transformation.

And what I love most…
is that this isn’t just limited to one place anymore.

There are communities forming everywhere—
and you deserve to find one.

If you’re in a season of rebuilding—personally or professionally—
let this be your reminder:

Look for the women. Find the room. Say yes to being supported.

Because healing… growth… and becoming who you’re meant to be
is so much more powerful when you don’t walk it alone 🩵
