100% effort. 26.2 miles. One body trying to keep up.
When Chas started training for his first marathon, he didn’t take the route most people do.
No 5K.
No 10K.
No half marathon.
He went straight for the full 26.2 miles.
As a former college athlete, he was no stranger to hard work, but marathon training was a completely different challenge. The miles added up fast, and so did the stress on his body.
That’s where Coach Aston stepped in.
Through our Stretch & Recovery sessions, Coach Aston helped Chas improve mobility, reduce tension, and keep his body moving the way it was designed to. Many times what feels like a “tight muscle” is actually the body’s way of protecting itself from movements it isn’t confident handling yet.
By combining recovery work with a structured training plan, Chas was able to keep progressing toward his goal while giving his body the support it needed along the way.

🚨Dynamic Hip Mobility Routine🚨
I dislocated my hip in high school so learning how to mobilize and activate the deep stabilizing muscles was a non-negotiable for me. Give this routine a try if you deal with tight or pinching hips during lower body lifts, especially during squats where there’s a lot going at the hip joint!
When I’m coaching my clients, I never say “don’t stop” I say things like “keep going” or “keep it up”. Same idea! 👍🏾
I got blessed twice yesterday! My aunt brought me this plate of food from Ms. Jones, a retired cafeteria chef from her elementary school. Her chicken salad has had me in a chokehold since I was a child visiting Florida every summer. Nothing beats nutritious and delicious food that you don’t have to cook yourself! 👌🏾

I can’t let the day go by without bragging about my amazing client Jessica!! We just completed our 100th session together. What a testament to her strength, perseverance and commitment to improving herself, one day at a time!! It’s not always easy, but it is always worth it! Not everyone makes it to this point, but the ones that do are the ones who reach all their goals and learn that they can do hard things and are more capable than they know
