✨Belated race recap✨: B1 @ 2026 Rockland NY race💙💚

B1 attended the New York International Dragon Boat Festival back in July, where we sent a mixed boat with 3 quarters of the boat newcomers, who’s never done 2 km races before!!🤩 We came in 5th in all distances (200 m, 500 m, and 2 km), and an overall 5th place for the festival🥳.

Big thanks to our friend I-Ting from Tide One Pioneers Dragon Boat Team and Baoston BBB for guest steering our boat in NY! We greatly appreciate your leadership and steering expertise and thank you so much for guiding us from practices to the start line on race day and all the way to the finish line🫡❤️‍🔥

It was a beautiful venue where we’re surrounded by nature and good vibes🫶🏻❤️‍🔥 1000% would do this race again!! Thank you GWN Dragon Boat for organizing the event🔥 Congratulations to our friends Catch22 NYC Dragon Boat, Wolfpack Racing Club, UEAA - United East Athletics Association, Boston Storm Dragonboat and all the other teams out there for the great competition and race, can’t wait to see all of you in the water again for some fun and friendly rivalry🌊🌊

It’s been a wild ride at Boston Festival this year🥹 Our Premier crew earned 3rd 🥉 in A major finals, and our Sports crew earned 2nd 🥈in A tail finals. Our Premier crew didn’t just fought hard but also had a lot of fun in the finals with our beloved friends Boston Storm Dragonboat, Ohana New England Dragon Boat - Boston ONE Racing, & Wolfpack Racing Club, which by the way, huge congrats to all of you guys for the super-well-deserved achievements❤️❤️❤️, it was an honor to paddle and race with you guys!!!! Sports crew - it is the first time our Sports boat got into A division! Super duper proud of all of you🥹 Awesome racing with The 2023 Dragon Boat team, Ohana Rogue ONE and Wuhan United in the A tail finals as well!🙌🙌🙌

To our own crews, thank you to all paddlers for putting in the hard work, it never goes unseen, and we are so proud to see everyone’s growth as paddlers and people🥰 Tremendous thanks to our board, coaches, for the thankless support and guidance, we can’t do it without you all. To all our female strokes - Kaia, Leslie, Vanessa and Meng Ting, so proud of all our females leaders! Congratulations to Zi (premier) and Tutu (sports) for both your spectacular steering for both crews! To our drummers Tutu (premier) and Viv (sports), we can’t do it without your motivation ❤

Boston Dragon Boat Festival - we say this every year, but literally Boston Festival is always our favorite race Every. Single. Year. We recognize and appreciate all the hard work leading up to the festival. Without you guys and 22Dragons, Boston Dragon Boat Festival will not happen. Without you guys, we won’t be who we are, the Boston dragon boat community wouldn’t be thriving! Thank you!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Last but not least, a huge shoutout to all our teammates who double/triple/+ rostered in different teams as coaches, paddlers, and steering, we love seeing our friends helping foster the community ❤

2026 Boston Festival day 1 has come to an end!!! Both our sports and premier crew has put up an extraordinary performance that exceeded our own expectations🥹 premier crew came in 1st in both overall club division 200m and club specialty, whereas sports crew came in 7th overall in club division 200m🤩 Great work from other crews as well😍!!! Thank you Boston Dragon Boat Festival for all the hard work leading up to it and of course the early mornings this weekend you guys had to endure to make sure the festival runs smoothly, thank you🙏🏻

Thank you so much Ohana New England Dragon Boat - Boston for hosting another annual BEASTS from the East paddle erg competition!!! The effort put in has been tremendous and we can’t thank and appreciate you guys enough for making this event so fun and enjoyable to all of us in midst of the dry off-season months☺️🥰 Thank you🤗

A huge shout out and kudos to all the teams out there this past Saturday for putting their best foot forward and sportsmanship in the competition, it has always been a pleasure reuniting with all our paddle friends in the East Coast and Canada!🫡

We are also super proud of our team for competing in BEASTS, especially to several of our newer members who has spent so minimal time on the water, but has trained really hard in the winter! The off season training is paying off and it shows ❤️! Everyone who competed are the literal embodiment of 💙💚 1 month of off-season left and training doesn’t stop here, we can’t wait to build more gains for the remaining month and sprint into water season in mid-April!🤩

Last but not least, big congratulations to our head coach Lily Ting for earning top BEAST in the premier women category🥳🎉
