No one talks about the feeling you get in your gut when you see THAT picture.
The picture from when you were at your heaviest.
Before you remember where you were, who you were with or what was happening in your life, you immediately start picking apart your body.
You zoom in on your stomach. You wonder how you let yourself “get that bad.” You calculate how much weight you’ve gained or lost since then.
And suddenly, an entire season of your life is reduced to the size of your body.
That was my cycle for years.
What changed for me was realizing that the number on the scale couldn’t tell me whether I was eating enough, sleeping well, enjoying my life or spending every day thinking about food and my body.
And that seeing a lower number wasn’t automatically going to change my life.
It won’t teach you how to eat when you’re busy and exhausted.
How to enjoy dinner out without feeling like you ruined everything.
How to miss a workout without giving up for the rest of the week.
How to eat the brownie, enjoy it and move on with your night.
Or how to take care of yourself even when your body doesn’t look exactly the way you want it to yet.
Those changes come from your habits, your lifestyle and the way you think about food, exercise and your body.
And when you focus on improving those things, your quality of life gets better AND the body-composition results can follow—without requiring you to put your life on hold until you reach a certain weight.
That’s what we work on inside Balanced Body Method.
Yes, BBM can help you lose fat. But it was never designed to help you chase the lowest number possible at the expense of your health or happiness.
Because the goal isn’t just to weigh less in your next picture.
It’s to look back and remember that you were happy, present and taking care of yourself too.
Enrollment for BBM is open now, and you’ll get one month free when you join by September 1.

“Your Starbucks breakfast is making you fat”
…was the unfortunate title of a post I saw the other day.
The creator compared a high-volume homemade breakfast with black coffee to a traditional Starbucks breakfast with a latte.
And I get it—the purpose is to teach you about food volume in relation to calories.
My homemade breakfast has eggs, egg whites, sweet potato, vegetables, chicken sausage, black beans and avocado.
The Starbucks breakfast has a Bacon, Gouda & Egg Sandwich and a grande oat milk latte.
Both contain around 550 calories, but the homemade breakfast provides significantly more food, protein and fiber.
This is called volume eating, and it can help you stay full while maintaining a calorie deficit.
So yes, the homemade meal is the more “optimal” choice for fat loss. But that doesn’t mean you should feel ashamed if it isn’t your regular breakfast.
Cooking this way consistently may require keeping the right ingredients at home, learning basic cooking skills, waking up earlier—which usually means going to bed earlier too.
Those are habits we can build over time. The problem is that many women try to change everything at once, become overwhelmed when they can’t maintain it and assume they’ve failed.
Inside the Balanced Body Method, we focus on improving one thing at a time. Maybe you begin by adding protein to breakfast. Or you start making more meals at home instead of ordering out.
And even after you’ve built those habits, chaotic mornings will still happen. Grabbing breakfast on the go can be much better than skipping it and becoming ravenous by 10 a.m.
For a balanced on-the-go breakfast, look for:
✅30–40g protein
✅Enough volume to keep you full
✅A source of fiber
✅Something you genuinely enjoy!
Your latte isn’t “making you fat.” Neither is the muffin or breakfast sandwich.
The goal is to combine the foods you enjoy with foods that provide protein, fiber, energy and fullness.
If you’re tired of trying to follow a “perfect” plan that falls apart the moment life gets busy, join us inside the Balanced Body Method. We’ll build an approach that fits your goals, preferences AND real lif
BBM isn’t another program that tells you to eat as little as possible, work out as much as possible and hold your breath until you reach your goal.
We focus on the habits you can actually maintain when you’re busy, tired, going out for dinner or craving the real ice cream.
Inside BBM, you’ll get simple, satisfying recipes, structured strength workouts designed to fit different schedules, on-demand trainings, weekly group coaching calls and different levels of support based on how much personalization and accountability you need.
But these resources aren’t just there to tell you what to do for 12 weeks.
They’re designed to teach you how to build balanced meals that keep you full, include the foods you genuinely love, strength train in a way that fits your life and continue making progress WITHOUT needing to be perfect.
Because I don’t just want you to lose weight for 12 weeks.
I want you to feel confident in your clothes without fearing dinner with friends. I want you to miss a workout without feeling like you’ve ruined everything. I want you to eat the ice cream and move on with your night instead of calculating how long you’ll need to exercise tomorrow.
I want you to improve your health AND enjoy the life you’re living while you do it.
That is what makes BBM different, and the last program you’ll ever need to lose the weight and keep it off for good.
Doors are currently open, and when you join by September 1, you’ll get one month FREE.

As a nutrition coach and toddler mom down 30lbs, trust me when I say you need this high protein pasta salad in your lunch rotation.
One of the things that helped me with losing 30lbs and keeping it off was learning how to take recipes and customize them towards my goals.
For example, if you search “high protein pasta salad recipes” on Instagram, there are SO many different variations.
Some are labeled as “fat loss friendly” and some aren’t, but how are you supposed to know which one will help you fit your goals?
When I’m looking for fat loss friendly meals, I look for these things:
✅I want the meal to be centered around protein to keep me full and support muscle growth
✅It includes a fruit or veggie (I just say “color” source!) for fiber and nutrients
✅It has a healthy carb and fat source
This is what makes a meal “balanced”.
And finally, I also want to make sure it tastes good!
Because on one end, some of these recipes taste amazing, but are really high in calories, making it hard to stick to your calorie deficit.
And on the other end, some of these recipes are “fat loss friendly”, but they’ve stripped away the taste of the meal with everything low carb, low fat, low FUN, which would never leave me satisfied, leading me to my pantry right after I ate to seek out something that actually taste good.
And that’s what I teach my clients inside of The Balanced Body Method—they have access to all of my balanced recipes that are fat loss friendly and taste amazing, but they also learn how to take recipes and adapt them towards their goals and their preferences.
The recipe is in the caption, but if you want to save it and get instant access to 12 other fat loss friendly meals that you’ll actually want to eat, comment MEALS and I’ll send them to you!
3 years ago, I made this post that went completely viral with over 2 million views, thousands of comments, and hundreds of other accounts who recreated it.
Since then, I’ve coached over 100 women in their fat loss journeys—and here’s what I’ve learned:
Every woman I’ve worked with encountered scale fluctuations.
Not a single one had a trend line that went down consistently over time.
The scale went up during their periods.
It went up after they ate a salty meal.
It went up after going out to eat on the weekend.
It went up after a hard leg day.
Which is completely normal.
My most successful clients don’t panic when the scale jumps. Instead, they zoom out and look at the full picture. We look at all the data points, like:
✔️ Progress pictures
✔️ Measurements
✔️ How their clothes fit
✔️ And most importantly, how they feel in their bodies: their energy, confidence, and non-scale victories along the way.
Because fat loss isn’t just about the scale going down. It’s about improving our overall health.
It’s about celebrating when…
✨ You’re lifting heavier with your squat
✨ You’re less winded going up the stairs
✨ You enjoy pizza or ice cream with your family
without guilt
✨ You show up for yourself, even when life isn’t perfect
Yes, the scale can show progress, but make sure to give yourself some credit and acknowledge the many other “invisible” ways you’re making progress to improve your overall health and quality of life.
