WVDC Teacher Spotlight, Miss Monica🌟:

Miss Monica is a dance artist and educator from Orange County, California. She has trained in various styles with a focus on ballet, contemporary, and jazz, and received her B.A. in Dance from the University of California, Irvine in 2019. In 2020, Miss Monica was accepted into and attended the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company’s Dance Journey program, where she studied contemporary dance and KCDC repertory until the pandemic lockdown. She has had the wonderful opportunity to freelance and perform at various dance festivals in the Los Angeles area, including: Blacktinx, Mashup Contemporary International Women’s Day Festival, HN11, and MixMatch Dance Festival under Edgar Aguirre and Waeli Wang. Miss Monica has furthered her dance education in various classes in LA and SF, and most recently through the Pina Bausch repertory intensives in LA and Berlin. She is passionate about guiding dancers of all ages and abilities to experience the joy of dance. She strives to create spaces where students can build sustainable practices and tap into their inner artists. Miss Monica is excited to be a part of the WVDC team!

NATIONALS 2026 left our hearts FULL & BURSTING with pride! 1 week JAM PACKED with showstopping performances, accolades, overall winners, SHOWCASE CHAMPIONS, a farewell to our beloved graduating seniors and being named the recipient of the STUDIO OF EXCELLENCE AWARD has made for more core memories than we are able to count! CONGRATULATIONS to all of our WVDC dancers for a fantastic season…the bar continues to RISE because our performers never stop reaching for the stars!

To our WVDC parents, families, prop dads & community of supporters, the amount of unwavering support and energy you give to us all remains UNMATCHED! We appreciate each of you!

To the leaders and teachers of WVDC, words cannot express the immense gratitude we feel for all that you have poured into our dancers! You all are truly special!

Finally, EnerGy NDC thank you for once again being such a tremendous host to yet another fantastic event. We leave this past week feeling deeply inspired!

Days 4 & 5 at EnerGy NDC nationals were filled with solos and opening number rehearsals! Our dancers have taken advantage of every performance opportunity, to showcase what they truly love, dance!
