“Excellence is not a skill. He left Pasadena to attend the University of Arizona. Over the next 35 years, Mr. In 2003, Mr. Mr.
It is an attitude.”

Richard “Doc” Spaulding was born February 28, 1942 in Pasadena, California and raised with strong family values and work ethics; his parents were a product of the depression. Sports were a big part of his childhood and fitness and nutrition remain a foundation of his lifestyle today. His athletic involvement promoted competitiveness, but good sportsmanship esta
blished his fair play attitude. At work, at home or at play, he is a team player while his positive presence and strength of character make him a leader. He received his degrees in Economics and Marketing in 1963. After college, he returned to Southern California, making his home in San Diego. He was first employed by Rohr Aircraft aka BF Goodrich in Chula Vista. This experience and gained knowledge offered him the opportunity in 1968 to purchase Master Machine Corporation. Spaulding’s company furnished complex machined parts, assemblies and environmental systems to the government and private aerospace industries. Spaulding sold Master Machine Corporation. Joining forces with his daughter in 2003, both passionate about fitness and nutrition, they developed a distribution company for a line of sports drinks. With “Doc’s” people skills and knowledge of the product and nutritional values, he was able to expand the sales territory from San Diego County to the west coast region, including Washington, Oregon and most of California. Spaulding is married with four children and six grandchildren. When asked what his family means to him, he smiles, places his hand on his heart and says “they make my heart happy.”
Richard “Doc” Spaulding joined Cambridge Financial Services in 2005 and is currently the Sales Manager. He has earned the respect of all his co-workers, as well as his clients. He is a man of integrity. He is a man of fairness. He is a man with a positive attitude. This man can accomplish anything because he truly believes he can!
“The essence of optimism is that it takes no account of the present, but it is a source of inspiration, of vitality and hope where others have resigned; it enables a man to hold his head high, to claim the future for himself and not to abandon it to his enemy.”
Dietrich Bonhoeffer
