Use our BC Strength Glute Ham Pad to help bridge the gap on machines at your gym! ➡️
Some 45-degree hyper devices are not friendly to shorter individuals. Even when it’s set to the lowest notch, the pad sits too high on your hips and you’re unable to get that deep hinge at the bottom. Adding a some height between your feet and the platform will help elevate your body so the pad can sit comfortably right below the hip crease for optimal range of motion.
If you have access to a Nordic ham curl device, some shorter individuals struggle with getting a snug fit with their ankles under the pad while keeping their lower leg parallel with the ground. Using the pad elevates your body so you can comfortably and securely keep your legs in place while lowering yourself under control.
If you want to get more range of motion at the bottom of a leg press, the best way to do this is bringing your body closer to the platform. Placing the pads between your body and the bench mimics having longer legs, so you’re able to get deeper.
Most hip abduction machines stop short on the way in, sometimes just creating a pulse movement. Adding in the pads allow for a full range of motion and even a stretch at the bottom.
If your bench is too high, placing a pad underneath your butt can elevate your body to allow the bottom of your shoulder blades to hit the bench.
