âWhat did they think of me and my message?â
Iâll admit itâthat thought still crosses my mind after I give a speech.
Even yesterday, after emceeing the luncheon for 200 incredible women ⌠after the energy, the connection, and the meaningful conversationsâI still found myself replaying moments on the drive home:
đ¤ âI wish I had emphasized that point more.â
đ¤ âThey didnât laugh at that part like I thought they would.â
đ¤ âMaybe I shouldâve said it differently.â
Let me normalize this for each of you reading this:
That post-event critique doesnât mean you werenât great.
It means youâre INVESTED IN YOUR GROWTH.âĄď¸
The most experienced speakers I knowâincluding myselfâdonât walk off stage thinking, âNailed it. Nothing to improve.â
We walk off stage thinking, âWhat can I refine for next time?â
But hereâs the shift that matters đ
Instead of letting that reflection chip away at your confidence ⌠use it to sharpen your leadership.
Hereâs how to do that constructively:
⨠Get specific, not emotional:
Trade âThat wasnât goodâ for âNext time, Iâll slow down that section.â
⨠Choose just 1â2 refinements:
You donât need an overhaulâyou need intentional evolution.
⨠Acknowledge what worked:
The energy in that room, the engagement, the conversations sparked ... Thatâs what sticks with the audience.
⨠Close the mental tab
Reflect, capture the lesson ⌠and then let it go.
Because while youâre replaying your deliveryâŚ
Your audience is remembering HOW YOU MADE THEM FEEL.
And beyond my own reflections, Iâm deeply gratefulâ
đ Grateful to have learned from the incredible doctors .inc & .drtina who shared their expertise so generously.
đ Grateful to for creating space for such an important conversation.
đ And grateful for my friends who showed up for their own health & education and supported me.
Yesterday was about creating a space where women felt seen, heard, and supported in midlifeâand it was an honor to be part of that.
đ Itâs all about progress over perfection.
Impact over overthinking.

â¨âThereâs no crown for being busy. The crown is for those who get results.â
Mic drop. đ¤
That momentâshared by the dynamic and brilliant Network CEO & Founder Sandra Yanceyâstopped me in my tracks.
She flew in from Dallas this week to pour into our chapter here in Modesto, and I found myself surrounded by some of the most impactful, generous, and genuinely supportive women in business.
And in that room, I felt something I donât take lightly:
Energized⌠AND at peace.
And that combination matters more to me than ever right now.
Iâm in a season where I no longer say yes to everything that looks like an opportunity or because I feel OBLIGATED to go.
đŤ Iâm saying YES to what feels like ALIGNMENT, which is why this event was so special.
Not only was I immersed in a room full of supportive and successful women who truly want to see each other win⌠I had the opportunity to sit next to, connect 1:1 with, and learn directly from Sandra Yancey.
And here's one of the biggest reminders I walked away with:
âĄď¸Multitasking is not a badge of honor.
Weâve been conditioned to wear âbusyâ like itâs proof that weâre doing enough⌠achieving enough⌠being enough.
But to what end?
I see so many women, like you and me, running around frazzled going from a work meeting to their kid's soccer practice to a networking event ... and on and on ... with barely a moment to breathe or consider WHAT SHE WANTS.
In this season, Iâm redefining what success actually looks like for me.
More peace.
More presence.
More intention.
Which means being deeply thoughtful about where I spend my time, energy, and attention.
Because hereâs what I want you to remember:
⨠Not every room deserves your energy.
⨠Not every opportunity deserves your yes.
⨠And not every investment will move you forward in the way you actually need.
But the right ones will.
They wonât just inspire you⌠theyâll ground you.
They wonât just fill your calendar⌠theyâll move you forward.
So if youâve been caught in the cycle of âbusy,â consider this your reminder:
You donât need to do more.
đđ˝You need to CHOOSE BETTER.
Protect your peace.
Prioritize what produces results.
And give yourself full permission to say no to what doesnât align.
Because when youâre in the right room, you donât just learnâŚ
You remember WHO YOU'RE BECOMING. â¨
Iâd love to hear from youâwhatâs one way you're being more intentional and aligned with your time and energy? âŹď¸
