Where do I even begin to capture the magic of our most recent Be DAREful retreat… ?
Here are a few photo transmissions in the hopes that you’ll feel nourished by the virtual connection to this special place and the magic pulsing here… 💫⭕️🌌🦋🕸
We’ve waited 2 L O N G years to return to and although this may have been our sweatiest trip yet, the collective stoke was ELECTRIC. ⚡️🐊🐆🏄🏽♀️🙌🏽
The ocean was generous and teeming with life… Leaping devil rays, galaxies of sea stars and even a 12’ crocodile cruising by the lineup on the last day! The process of watching beginner surfers go from belly riding to dropping in over the course of the week never ceases to amaze me 🤙🏽
And wow wow wow did it feel delicious to steep in an avian serenade during our treetop asanas with Pilar. 🌴🦜🧘🏽♀️🐔
So many belly laughs, deep full, breaths and salty tears shed in our Playshops and in the downtime in between…
💫🔥🌀✨💗 It is such an honor to walk (and dance!) alongside women through these wild seasons of life, and I thank my lucky stars EVERYDAY that I get to do this work in the world. ✨🙏🏽🧚🏽
We’re currently brewing some big dreams to expand these offerings in the future, but in the meantime, so grateful to our friends at the Bodhi Lodge for this nourishing, enlivening, healing S P A C E to pause and play and remember together.
To the legendary wave dancer and the DAREful ladies who said YES to co-creating this magic, Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏🏽
Until next time friends,
P U R A V I D A 🙌🏽💫💗

Thank you, thank you, thank you for the gift of this experience… and especially to all the women who have joined us here in the past. Thank you for lighting the way and making this such a precious, beloved place to return to. ⭕️💗💫
Sending light ahead to the wise women who have said YES to this adventure and all the healing, playful nourishment awaiting them in the days ahead.
See you on the other side

I don’t think I’ve ever been quite this happy to turn the page on January… our family has moved through loss 💙, illness 🦠, getting our dog neutered 🐶 and just A L O T of long hours hanging out in discomfort… can you relate?
I feel like SO many people have been in it. And at some level, these reflect the deep winter experiences that inspired our ancestors to mark this cross-quarter day with rituals honoring the darkness and also celebrating the 🔥 that continues both in and around us as we await brighter days.
“As we find ourselves in the depths of winter… (we have) an opportunity to call in the very beginnings of spring while fortifying ourselves for the remainder of the season of chill and darkness. February 2nd is celebrated throughout the world in varied forms (Imbolc, Candlemas, Chandeleur, Groundhog Day, etc) by many cultures… candles are lit worldwide to symbolize the coming light of spring, houses are swept and renewing cleaning clears (our spaces) of the dominant hibernating impulses…”
Imbloc Blessings dear ones… Here’s to lighting candles and clearing our spaces as we start to plant those dream seeds of the returning spring. 💫🔥💚
And PS, we will be ringing in the spring equinox Bodhi Lodge style this year and we would LOVE to share that with you. For more details click on link in bio! 💗

We’re currently updating details about our return next March… stay tuned and dream with me in the meantime…

Here’s to all the beauty that emerges from the dark void... the whole process never ceases to amaze me. 💫 Whether it’s a wild Iris bursting from a muddy forest floor or our wild hearts finding their way through paralyzing fear... its like a special kind of magic that makes me want to hang in there and stay curious a little longer...
How about you? Have you felt connected to it recently?
May you feel inspired to open your heart to the beauty in and around you today as we continue to find our way together...💗🐊✨🕸🙌🏽

Another big box of LOVE pins arrived this week and although this day, and week in particular, remind us of how much more work there is to be done, I just felt called to offer up a gentle reminder that WE are all essentially big vessels of LOVE pins looking for opportunities to connect with each other. Whether it’s a gesture of gratitude, appreciation, joy, forgiveness, compassion, peace, atonement, generosity, kindness or reconciliation... all these individual heart connections are how we remember our way home to each other. They may not always feel comfortable or convenient, but they matter. How are you going to share your love today? Let’s do this people! 💫

Happy New Year! When we lived in Alaska we started this special tradition of creating mandalas to honor/celebrate/complete the experience of the past year and welcome in the new with intention/blessing/receptivity. I felt called to offer these images from the last handful of New Years, in hopes that they inspire you to try it out this week and see for yourself what kind of magic this process can create! 💗✨🌀🌼🌿
It is a simple ritual that can be done anytime with flowers or whatever elements you have on hand (stone, leaves, shells... the possibilities are endless!)
💫We start by taking turns sharing memories of the past year and place a symmetrical layer down for each thing we say... things we’re grateful for, honoring things that have happened, lessons we’ve learned (are still learning!) releasing any judgments, hurts, etc basically a full reflection of the year past (light and shadows) It is a spontaneous and intuitive process that we trust entirely to guide itself... we build on whatever’s laid down and keep going until we feel the shift into the next phase.
💫 When it feels ready, we’ll continue adding layers, but now they’re honoring intentions for the new year, projects we’re working on, relationships we want to grow, heartfelt desires, longings, prayers for our family/the collective, etc.
💫When it feels complete, we usually take a few quiet moments to behold the beauty of it all... (sometimes we have a dance party around it to shake it out/drink it in!)
💫Then we collect all the pieces and release them the next day. My friend who taught me this practice with collected organic material from the area, encouraged offering it up to the ocean as a way of trusting that all that was ready to be released would head out to sea, and the lessons, blessings and gold we needed would return on the tide🌊
Most importantly, follow your own inner guidance, let yourself play in the creative experience and allow the beauty of this past year and what is awaiting you in the next, reveal itself to you through the process. 💫🌻🌿🌌🙌🏽💗
Please lmk if you have questions and send me pictures of what you create! #2021

My daughters are currently obsessed with handstands... above ground on any terrain and especially underwater... they are literally and figuratively seeing/experiencing the world from a new angle, and I think they’re on to something.
Our double dog dare challenge for you today is to shake it up. Change the channel. Flip the script and play with seeing something in your life from a new perspective.
What do you notice?
Is there more space? A different cadence? What happens when you let go a bit and get curious about what you haven’t been noticing?
2020 seems to be a constant invitation to unlearn, uncover and reimagine. And it’s not going away. We’ve been having a lot of offline conversations over here about the possibilities that open up when we flip the whole thing on its head and get curious instead of habitually doing/seeing/experiencing life as we always have.
Try it. I dare you. 💫

I feel like so many of my recent conversations with clients, friends and especially my daughters, circle back to this beautiful reminder from in her new book Earth Is Holding You. Sometimes it can feel really hard to be with all the discomfort, suffering and unsettling unknowns that are a part of our current human experience. It really is A LOT. When we’re lost in the waves of fear and stories of separation, it literally feels like there is no hope. But what I also know, is that there’s SO MUCH more here holding us and guiding us through this crucible. When we learn to resource and be in meaningful relationship with this embodied connection, we not only receive great comfort and regulation in our bodies/nervous system, we are also WAY more clear/connected/inspired about our next steps forward. We remember we’re ALL in this together and that our relationships with ourselves, the Earth and each other are more than just a source of pain/suffering, they are truly a catalyst of great transformation.
💗
Sending blessings of love your way. May you S L O W D O W N and drop in a bit today... get curious. Can you feel yourself being held in this? What is a tiny change you could make to settle into your connection with HER right now?
