We have a few roster spots available for highly skilled players at ANY position who are serious about taking their game to the next level.

We are building this team with a long-term vision: develop a group of athletes who will train, compete, and grow together all the way through 18U.

🥎 Exceptional 2031s who can compete at the 16U level will be considered
🥎 Competing at 14U and select 16U events this season
🥎 National-level schedule with travel over the next four years
🥎 College-level lifting, agility, and softball development
🥎 Experienced coaching staff with extensive recruiting experience
🥎 Guest coaching from former players currently competing in college
🥎 No coaches have daughters on the team

Our players will learn what college coaches are looking for, how to train at that level, and what it takes to earn opportunities.

Everything is earned. Playing time in bracket play is not guaranteed. We are looking for competitors who want to work, develop, be coached, and earn their opportunities.

Our goal isn’t simply to build a good 14U team. We’re building toward 18U and preparing players who want the opportunity to play college softball.

We are incredibly excited to welcome Coach Alexandra Perez to our Power Surge 14U coaching staff!

Coach Alex was a pitcher and 1st baseman at the University of California, Berkeley, where she competed at the highest level of NCAA Division I softball. She continued her playing career internationally, competing for UVV in the Netherlands and also taking the field in Puerto Rico.

In addition to her impressive playing background, Coach Alex brings valuable coaching experience, a strong understanding of the game, and a passion for helping young athletes develop both on and off the field.

Our players are going to benefit tremendously from her knowledge, experience, and leadership. We could not be more excited to have her joining the Power Surge family!

My 18U girls just aged out. Every single one of them is moving on to play softball in college, and watching that happen, watching a group of players I've coached for years walk into the next chapter of their lives, is why I do this.

Now I'm starting over with a new group. A 14U team,2030- 2031 grads, incoming freshmen. And honestly, I'm excited about it in a way that's hard to explain unless you've done this. There's something special about building a team from the ground up and getting to walk every step of that journey with them, 14U all the way to 18U.

That's really the point of this post. I'm not looking to put together a team for a season. I want to grow with these girls. I want loyalty, and I want to give loyalty back. The girls who join this team are girls I plan to coach for the next four years, through the hard practices, the recruiting process, the successes, the doubts, all of it.

Some things won't change from what I've always believed in. No parent coaches. No daddy ball. Every spot on the field gets earned, and I think that's exactly what makes players better, on the field and off it. My teams have played Power Pools, invite events and competed at Alliance Nationals, and we train at WayALife because I want these girls to learn in the weight room with the right trainers. I'm also the head coach at Del Norte High School, where we've played Open Division the last three years, so I know what it takes to get a player from 14U to a college roster.

College Coaches

Power Surge 18U will be competing in Las Vegas at the Best of the Best Showcase, hosted by USA Preps, January 17–19.

This group is built to compete at the highest level and showcase players ready for the next step. We would love for you to stop by, evaluate, and connect with our athletes throughout the weekend.

Power Surge Carden/Hull 18u is adding a pitcher or two along with a few athletes who can help us at any position. We have a strong, competitive roster and play at the highest level of national travel softball. Our fall record is 16-4-4 and this group continues to push the standard every week.

Pitching is our top priority, and we are looking for competitive arms who want to train in an environment that mirrors college softball. We also welcome versatile athletes who bring energy, toughness, and game readiness at any position.

One of the biggest strengths of our program is the team strength and speed training we do together. Our players train consistently with structured workouts that build power, mobility, and durability, helping them prepare for the demands of college softball.

Our coaching staff includes a former Division 1 pitcher, a junior college coach, and a CIF Open Division head coach. The approach is detailed, competitive, and built for players who want to grow.

Pool games: everyone plays
Bracket games: performance determines opportunity

• Arizona on January 3 and 4, 2026
• Best of the Best Las Vegas on January 16 to 19, 2026
