Apparently this needs to be said.
Christian women over 50 still want HOT marriages.
And yes, I'm including myself in this conversation.
We love Jesus.
We want a man who loves Jesus.
We want emotional safety, loyalty, depth, prayer, friendship, and integrity.
But can we please stop pretending that's ALL we want?
We still want chemistry.
We still want flirting.
We still want to be pursued.
We still want that look from across the room that says something you probably shouldn't say during Bible study.
We want the random text in the middle of the day that makes us blush.
The date that isn't about errands.
The kiss that doesn't feel like you're saying goodbye to your aunt.
Sir. Respectfully.
That's your WIFE.
Flirt with her.
Date her.
Notice her.
Pursue her.
Make her wonder what you have planned later.
And HOT doesn't just mean intimacy.
It's feeling safe enough to be playful.
Known enough to be vulnerable.
Connected enough to still be curious about each other.
And secure enough to keep choosing each other after all these years.
Because somewhere along the way, some Christian couples got the idea that a godly marriage should be loving, faithful, and committed...
but apparently nobody was allowed to have any fun.
No ma'am.
We're over 50.
We're not dead.
Who decided desire has an expiration date?
After years of raising kids, building careers, paying bills, walking through hard seasons, taking care of everyone else, and doing actual LIFE together...
maybe this season isn't where desire dies.
Maybe it's where you finally get to experience it with the safety, confidence, freedom, and depth you didn't have at 25.
A marriage can be sacred AND playful.
Safe AND passionate.
Deeply committed AND ridiculously attracted to each other.
Marriage can be holy and still have heat.
Okay, married ladies over 50...
Send this to your husband with absolutely no explanation.

Maybe you trust the Lord deeply...
and your body still knows how to brace.
For a long time, I thought those two things couldn't exist together.
If I was afraid, anxious, overwhelmed, or waiting for something to go wrong, I assumed I needed…
More prayer.
More surrender.
More trust.
But underneath all of that was another layer of pain:
I was ashamed that I was struggling at all.
What changed me wasn't learning how to become a “better Christian.”
It was learning that I could bring my fear to the Lord without first fixing it.
I could let Him meet me in the places that still felt afraid.
I could trust Him AND gently tend to the parts of me that had learned to protect me.
That changed something profound in my relationship with the Lord.
Faith stopped feeling like something I had to prove through how well I handled life.
It became somewhere I could rest while I was still healing.
And maybe someone needs this reminder today:
Your fear doesn't automatically mean you've failed to trust God.
Sometimes healing looks less like telling yourself, “I shouldn't feel this way”...
and more like asking,
“Lord, will You meet me here too?”
Save this for the day you need that reminder. And send it to the Christian who has been quietly wondering why trusting God hasn't made their body stop bracing.

Sometimes something happens today...
and your body remembers yesterday.
Your heart races.
Your mind starts thinking ahead.
You feel the need to fix it, control it, or prepare for what might come next.
And you wonder...
Why is this still affecting me?
I thought I healed this.
But being triggered doesn't mean you're back where you started.
Healing can look like noticing the alarm sooner.
Coming back to yourself faster.
Trusting yourself when things feel hard.
And choosing what you do next instead of letting fear choose for you.
The old alarm may still go off.
It just doesn't get to run your life anymore.
This is the work I help my clients do.
Not just understand their patterns, but build the capacity to stay grounded when something old gets stirred up.
Because the goal isn't to never get triggered again.
It's to become someone who can hear the alarm without letting it take over.
If you're ready for the old alarm to stop running your life, comment READY or send me a private message.
We'll talk about what it could look like to work together.
