Our Movement Specialist Michael and client Thien had an amazing time exploring Comic-Con International together last week! πŸŽ‰

As a big fan of comic books and anime, Thien enjoyed meeting some of his favorite figures in the industry and sharing his own creative ideas. A special thank you to Mr. Ed's & Dr. Jones POP-Up for taking the time to hear about his comic book ideas, it made the experience even more memorable for him!

This social outing gave Thien the opportunity to enjoy one of his favorite interests and connect with the Comic-Con community alongside one of our amazing Movement Specialists πŸ¦Έβ€β™‚οΈπŸ’₯

Movement meets sunshine, sand, and water in this summer edition of our Movement Minute! β˜€οΈπŸŒŠ

Slow controlled squats, gentle spinning, and crawling variations are more than fun ways to move – they provide purposeful sensory and motor input that can support balance, coordination, body awareness, regulation, and confidence.

Through Rhythmic Movement Training, we combine rhythmic and developmental patterns with targeted pressure, active self-awareness, and motor-coordination exercises to help the body and brain work together more efficiently.

Practicing these movements on sand and in the water adds resistance, instability, vestibular input, and proprioceptive feedback. These added challenges encourage individuals to move with greater intention while building foundational skills that can support summer activities such as kayaking and paddleboarding.

Every movement can be adapted to meet an individual's abilities and sensory preferences. The goal is not perfect performance – but repeated, purposeful practice that helps the body and brain work together with greater organization, control, and confidence. πŸ’ͺ

Summer sports are in session for our San Diego crew! β˜€οΈπŸš£ Our group sessions have been full of sunshine, kayaking in the bay, and plenty of moments that make summer with Kidisthenics so special.

In between sessions, we pulled a few of our El Centro Movement Specialists aside to ask:

"Why do you do what you do?"

Their answers reflect the heart behind our team – the passion, purpose, and dedication they bring to every client, every session, and every moment of growth.

We're grateful for the Movement Specialists who continue to make an impact through movement that matters. πŸ’š

Soccer is in full swing at our group sessions ⚽️

From passing and ball control to dribbling, defending, shooting, and goalkeeping – each session is designed to build skills while keeping movement engaging and purposeful.

Every drill is an opportunity to develop coordination, confidence, and teamwork in a supportive, high-energy environment.

And we're having a lot of fun while doing it! πŸ’ͺ

Happy Autism Awareness Month. πŸ’™

To kick things off, we asked our movement specialists one simple question: What's one thing people should know about autism?

Their answers are a reminder that autism is not one-size-fits-all – it's a spectrum of unique experiences, strengths, and perspectives.

Take a moment to listen, learn, and reflect.

πŸ‘‡ Now we want to hear from you.

What's one thing you wish people understood about autism? Share it in the comments.

More highlights from last week's San Diego Gulls game with this amazing crew! Until next year! πŸ’πŸ₯…βœ¨

03/23/2026

Kidisthenics took our annual social outing to a San Diego Gulls game this past week πŸ’

And yes, we got to high-five the players as they hit the ice (definitely a highlight). Moments like that are what make these outings so special.

Getting out into the community and experiencing the San Diego sports scene together is what it's all about – bringing our Kidisthenics community together for a fun and memorable night.

Already looking forward to the next one πŸ₯…πŸ’š
