BE IT PROCLAIMED, by the Council of the City of San Diego, that this Council, for and on behalf of the People of San Diego, does hereby proclaim September 1, 2026, to be “California Waves Day” in the City of San Diego. ⚾️🌊💙
The City of San Diego recognized California Waves Girls Baseball with the proclamation of September 1, 2026, as “California Waves Day” in honor of our historic accomplishments and its commitment to expanding opportunities for girls in baseball. We made history this summer at the 11th Annual Baseball For All National Girls Baseball Tournament in Rockford, Illinois, becoming the first organization to win all three Majors championships — 12U, 14U and 16U — at the same national tournament.
The tournament featured 76 teams and nearly 1,000 girls from across the country. This accomplishment reflects the dedication of our players, coaches, families and volunteers who have helped California Waves grow from a single 12U team founded in San Diego in 2021 into a nationally recognized girls baseball organization.
We celebrate our players’ achievements while recognizing the broad impact of our organization in creating opportunities for girls to compete, develop their skills and build confidence, leadership, teamwork and lifelong connections through baseball.
We are so proud of how far this organization has come and so grateful for every player, coach, family, supporter, and friend who has been part of the Waves journey. Today we celebrate and we are proud.
Thank you to all of our California Waves Girls Baseball families for continued support. Also, thank you to Baseball For All for providing an avenue for our girls to keep playing the game they love.

We are beyond proud of Carsynn Meyer and her Mountain teammates from Henderson, NV who are playing in the Little League World Series. Carsynn played with the 12U Waves in Reno at BFA Nationals in 2025. Here is a photo of Carsynn and Kinley who are making all the news out of Williamsport, PA this week as Girls with Game. This isn't the last we will see of Carsynn! Tonight (8/25) at 4 PM PST on ESPN both girls along with Justine Siegel will be throwing out the first pitch in honor of Baseball For All and the professional baseball league. Let's go Carsynn and showing that girls belong in baseball!

Congrats to these girls for completely balling out! They played at Dreams Park and hit countless home runs and sent 3 boys teams home early. They lost a nailbiter today 6-5, but they need to be proud of how they played during the week. Congrats to forever California Waves Girls Baseball Keelyn on her HR's and excellent play.
These Cooperstown ladies just keep rolling. 🔥⚾️ After finishing 37th in pool play, they’ve battled their way all the way to the SWEET 16! THREE incredible wins today, home runs flying, and unbelievable plays up and down the lineup. These girls know how to play ball. ❤️💙 Dreams Park Baseball

Congratulations to Noellie Walker, recipient of the California Waves 16U Sportsmanship Award!
As a new member of our 16U team, this was Noellie's very first Baseball for All Nationals, and she made an immediate impact. In her very first at-bat, she blasted a one-hopper over the center field fence to spark our offense and set the tone. She also made an incredible unassisted double play at first base and came through in the Championship game with a clutch hit that moved runners into scoring position when we needed it most.
While her play on the field was outstanding, what truly earned her this award was the way she supported her teammates. Noellie was one of the loudest voices in the dugout, constantly cheering on her team and encouraging everyone around her. Her positive attitude, team-first mindset, and unwavering support embody what the Sportsmanship Award is all about.

Next up for the Sportsmanship Award is California Waves 14u Brystal Gascon.
Although new to this team Brystal stepped in and stepped up. Always the first one cheering and making sure everyone got involved. She is a teammate that makes sure she talks to everyone. At times bringing the shy ones out of their shells. It was an absolute honor to have such a wonderful young lady leading the pack and sharing her spirit amongst everyone.
