Me: pitching with intention and purpose. Staying under designated time. Then…Shamelessly sharing my contact info in the chat. With the 60 second Forbes Riley style pitch.
Response: Yes, I see it. Person reads it back to everyone in room. Asks probing question. I must have been on point today. Then 💥 BAM! 💥 name drops.

I’m not easily impressed. Nor do I follow well known people in industries. Soooooo… I will see somebody and have no clue. I gladly accept invitation. Then starts to Google.

SHUT THE FRONT DOOR! I started not to attend. Actually, forgot about this networking event. After a text came through, I said I’ll attend for an hour. Right when I was about to log off, my spirit spoke and said hold on. Starving and brain dead, I held on. The universe: “I told your ass to hold on!” Also the universe: “I opened the door. Now go prep for the rest of the week!” Me: 😱

This will be a challenge. Nothing great comes from your comfort zone. If it doesn’t challenge me, it’s not big enough.
