Fear can be both debilitating and inspiring. Conjured in an instant from threats both physically and emotionally.
Understanding the root of that fear can sway control back in your favor. Is it legitimate or assumed?
"What if..." plays a major part in that process. Be calm. Be rational. Be mindful.

You can't cheat the grind. It demands your dediction toward accomplishing your goals.
To expect a handout is toxic. Doing your best doesn't justify a reward when you don't meet requirements.
Take pride in your efforts and do the work! πͺππ

For those who need to hear this and need a kind word.
Your value is not measurable. Your abilities are not shortcomings. Your progress is meaningful.
Go for it!

So I completed my FIRST Half Marathon today πββοΈπ Performed very well considering my training wasn't as up to par as I would've liked. KT taped my left knee for support and held up well. Ankles got angry on the last loop so I'll relace my shoes.
Loved seeing some familiar faces and met a few new ones πββοΈ Seems like I'm part of the cool club now ππ Looking forward to the next one!

Ran a solid 5-mile route yesterday and performed better than I anticipated. Must've been the cold weather motivation π₯Ά
Definitely feel that 4:1 intervals for the long runs are adequate.

Ran yesterday evening testing out a 5:1 split this time. Yes, I wrote "ratio" on the last post, which was improper terminology π€ͺ
Definitely more exertion this time and, obviously, a faster time as I walked less but pacing was the same. We'll see how it fairs as the miles increase πββοΈπͺ

Going hard on that S-M-R-T! Hammering out flashcards for my ACE Health Coach exam on Sunday, 22 Nov.
I'm so excited to earn this certification and apply the principles π There's a plethora of communication education in this book and online videos included.
Oh! And Fitness Magazine has an article on Resistamce Training for runners so that's pretty awesome πββοΈπββοΈ

Since I was stripping and cleaning up some models, figured I'd rebase and seal them for painting too!
Non-skelly miniatures from Red Box Games.
