The workout isn’t the destination.

It’s preparation. 💪

For the things you want to do.
The places you want to go.
And the days that ask more of you than you expected.

For me, sometimes it looks like this.

Getting in the kayak. Paddling out. Trying something because I want to not because I’ve been training for kayaking.

I don’t train just to get better at working out.

And I don’t coach women that way either.

The goal is to build a body that’s ready for what life asks of it and what YOU want to ask of it.

Strength. Balance. Mobility. Endurance.

We build them in the workout.

But the payoff is out here. 🛶

💬 What do you want your body ready for?

Ever have a workout planned and then your body has other ideas?

Maybe you didn’t sleep well. Your knee is talking to you. Your back feels stiff. Or you’re just not feeling 100%.

So what do you do? 🧐

Push through?

Skip it altogether?

✨Those aren’t your only two choices.

Maybe you use a lighter weight. Change the movement. Slow it down. Do 15 minutes instead of 30.

And yes, sometimes taking the day off is the right choice. 👊

I have these conversations with clients all the time.

Because knowing when to push, when to adjust, and when to back off isn’t always obvious.

Your body gives you information. 📊

Knowing what to do with that information is a skill.

And this goes beyond your workout. 😎

This is the stuff I want to be able to keep doing. 🪏

Working in my yard. Carrying the heavy stuff. Taking the stairs. Walking all day when I travel. Getting down on the ground and back up again.

Not because I have to prove I can.

Because I like being able to.

✨ That’s a big reason I train.

Yes, I want to be strong. I want good balance and mobility.

But the workout itself isn’t really the end goal.

I want my body to keep letting me do the things I want to do.

For as long as possible.

💬 What do you want to keep doing?

There’s something I’ve noticed after years of working with clients:

You start to learn your own patterns. 🕵🏻‍♀️

That tightness you’ve felt before.

The knee that gets cranky after too much sitting.

The back that lets you know when you’ve overdone it.

The difference between “I need to warm up” and “something isn’t right.”

At first, every ache or off day can feel like a question mark.🤨

But experience teaches you.

You start recognizing what helps. What doesn’t. When you can keep going. And when something deserves more attention.

✨That knowledge matters.

Because the goal isn’t to never have an ache, a stiff morning, or an off day.

👉 It’s to become more confident in what you do next.

You probably know more about your body than you give yourself credit for.

You planned to move today.

But you woke up stiff. Tired.
Maybe something just feels a little off.

So what do you do? 🤨

Push through?
Or skip it altogether?

Those aren’t your only two choices.

✨Sometimes the better choice is to change the pace.

Make the movement smaller.

Do less.

Or give your body a day to recover.

The skill isn’t always knowing how to push.

Sometimes it’s knowing how to adjust. 😉

“I can’t do that anymore.”
“I’ll probably slow everyone down.”
“I’d better stay home.”

Those thoughts feel true.
But...
Are they true today? 🤨

Or are they based on...
One hard season.
One injury.
One surgery.
One painful day that quietly became the way you see yourself.

✨I’ve learned something after years of coaching women and after living through my own recovery.

We don’t just remember what happened.
We build beliefs around it.

The problem is...
Life changes.
Our bodies change.
Our capacity changes.

But our beliefs don’t always change with them.

So we keep making today’s decisions...
Based on yesterday’s evidence.

That’s why moments like “That wasn’t as bad as I thought” matter so much.

They’re more than good days.
They’re evidence. 🕵🏻‍♀️

Evidence that something may have changed...
And maybe...
It’s time to ask a different question.

💬 Is that still true today?

08/12/2026

Have you ever caught yourself saying that?

Maybe after saying yes to dinner with friends. 🧐

Taking the trip.

Walking through the airport.

Getting down on the floor with the grandkids.

Or simply deciding not to stay home.🏡

Sometimes the hardest part isn’t what you’re about to do.

It’s the conversation you have with yourself before you ever leave the house. 💬

“What if my back starts hurting?”
“What if I can’t keep up?”
“Maybe I should just stay home.”

Then...
You go anyway.

And on the way home, you catch yourself smiling because you’re thinking 💭
“That wasn’t as bad as I thought.”

Don’t brush those moments off.

Those are the moments that remind you,
maybe your world doesn’t have to get smaller.

💙 What’s something you almost didn’t do but you’re so glad you did?

👇 Maybe someone else needs to hear your story too.

One of my favorite things about San Antonio...

We show up for our people. 😉

Robb and I stopped by 2M Smokehouse & Catering ™️ to supoort Grecia Anais Ramos Grecia & Esaul - Team Ramos after watching them absolutely crush it on Food Network Pitmasters.

Years ago, I had the privilege of interviewing Grecia on my FITnatics! Podcast and what stood out then is exactly what you’re seeing now ✨her work ethic, ✨humility, and ✨belief that anything is possible.

Watching her and Esaul represent San Antonio on a national stage has been so inspiring.

Of course, we had to try the Big Burn winning dishes for ourselves.

🌿 Spaghetti Verde? LEGIT. Packed with flavor.

💜 Ube Bread Pudding? I never thought I’d say this because I’m NOT a bread pudding fan but WOW. Grecia officially made me a believer.

Congratulations Team Ramos! 👏

We’ll be cheering you on every Monday. 📺

If you’re in San Antonio, go support them, Baked by Chef Grecia Ramos 2M Smokehouse & Catering ™️, you won’t be disappointed. 😋

I’ve said those words.
Maybe you have too.

At first, they sounded harmless.
Sometimes they were.

But over time, I realized something...
I wasn’t always saying them because I had to.

Sometimes I was saying them because I had started believing they were the safer choice.

Then it became 🗣️
“I’ll wait here.”
“I don’t want to slow everyone down.”
“Maybe next time.”

None of those felt like a big decision.
Until I realized they were quietly becoming the way I made decisions.

That’s something I’ve seen over and over again, not just in myself, but in the women I coach.

The first thing to change usually isn’t your body.

✨It’s what you believe your body can handle.

And the good news?
That story can change.

💙 Have you ever caught yourself saying, “You guys go ahead”?
