2026 has been quite a year of change and challenges already. Started off with a move to Sweden to join Hammarby IF in Stockholm and after a short-term stay (and a long winter) I concluded my time with the team in June. It was amazing to be able to explore and experience new cultures, and get to see European footy played first hand.

After some deliberation and time at home, I come to realize my priorities have shifted around the sport, and with that came a move much closer to home. Now in Alberta, Canada playing for Calgary Wild FC, we just secured our first win of the season. The euphoria around the tangible reward that hard, disciplined work and sheer belief will pay off, is the feeling I’ve been waiting for. This moment was a representation of the culmination of my last few years: not being where we want to be, holding faith that it will come, and deliberate work until it does.

In year 8 of a convoluted career, my dream job, still finding myself in love with this game. As my love for it evolves and life continues to change, I’m grateful for the reminders and c what it has given me.
